Leaving for ASMU March 13-20. There will be myself, my dh, my two ds's (10 and 5). We have UPH"S. We are timid about rides but are determined not to leave without conquering Splash Mountain and BTMRR. TofT and R&R are very definite maybe's. I have tried to incorporate the EMH's and the day after strategy in my planning. What do you think? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. We have been to Disney World only once before with our kids and this is our first time on site with them. These boards have been the most incredibly helpful tool I have used in planning our trip.

:teeth: Can I come??? This sounds perfect. I have 3 boys....12, 8 and 4....and this seems BOY CORRECT!!!!!!

Enjoy! You did good!

You'll be there right after me, so I'll be sure to save some magic for you!princess:

The only glitch I could possibly see is there are almost all EMH's. Everyone needs to sleep in now and then even if it's just still 8am. :o

Your itinerary looks well thought out.

A couple of suggestions.

While at Downtown Disney you might want to check out Cirque du Soleil before heading back to your resort. It is a little pricey, but well worth the cost. It is an experience you will talk about for a long time. The theater is really small so even the 'cheap' seats offer a great view of the stage. If you can get tickets it is well worth the time and effort. You may have to forego the swimming, but the pool will always be there.

My 11 year old DD had the same fear of BTMRR, Splash Mountain and R&R, as well as Space Mountain. She was frightened out of her wits on all the rides, but after they were over, she wanted to ride them over and over again - she loved them. I could not convince her to ride TofT though. If you do TofT and R&R be sure and get a FastPass for one while standing in line for the other.

Same goes for the attractions at Epcot. Mission Space and Test Track lines are lengthy, so if you plan on either or both - FastPass is the way to go.

You are going to love Boma. There is something for everyone - even the kids. Get them to try something different, just to experience a new taste.

Have a great trip!

We'll be there at the same time ... We may cross paths Sat, Sun, Mon and Wed :) Our schedules are the same. The only difference is we're driving our RV from Houston. I was alittle worried about the boys and DH hitting DQ after a 2nd day of driving, but I'm hoping Disney excitement will kick in on arrival.

Lets pray for sunshine and nice temps :sunny:

Your plan looks good. I just have a few suggestions. I don't think you have enough time in MK for a 10 yo and a 5 yo. Even though you've been once before, at that age MK should probably be their favorite park and will take more time to do. You also don't have a lot of time at MGM. It's a little tough to fit in all the shows just in one afternoon. Many of them only have one or two pm showings.

To solve this dilemna I'd cut out one of the water parks. I know the boys will probably love them, but they can probably go to a water park at home sometime. Go to MGM that morning and MK that evening.

On 3/18 you are doing MK for EMH but want to be at TL by 9:45. You'd have to leave MK by no later than 9:00 am to get to TL by that time. It hardly seems worth going for just one hour. Stay at MK longer and go to TL at around 11:00, if that will be your water park day.

Good luck and have fun.

The waterparks were the highlight of my kids experience. We live in the NW and not a lot of waterpark action here. They are still talking about it, while they never talk about the shows we saw at MGM.

Although, I do agree you need a little more time at MK, especially if it is busy.

Those are all the places we ate with my kids and all were quite good!

Only problem there might be is an EMH park gets really crowded after 11:00-12:00 and I would go to another park that wasn't EMH in the afternoon/evening. I see you doing this at AK. Give at least 2 full days at the MK to do all of the rides. AK we can do in 1/2 day (usually 9:00-2:00) and give 1 1/2 days at Epcot and 1 full day at MGM. We like to park hop so that we have the flexibility to go to a less crowded park. Both of the water parks are great. My DD and DS love them both, but their favorite is TL. We usually do each of them in about 3-4 hours if we go at opening time. Be aware that the buses do not pick you up to go back to your resort from TL or BB until 12:00 noon. We didn't know that (went in July 2003) and had to wait one day for about 30 minutes because we were ready to go back at 11:30 am. It might work out better to go to the water parks in the afternoon because the water will be warmer. The slides and tube rides will be long waits, but the wave pools will be no wait and loads of fun!:earsgirl:

Thanks for all your comments. I'm glad to hear I'm on the right track for most days.
- I was worried about too many EMH's but we are early risers at home so I'm hoping this (and a lot of Disney excitement) will prevail in getting the troops going.
-I also agree that I need more time at MK. I like the idea of staying later at MK on Thurs and hitting TL around 11:00. It's the wave pool that's the big draw for us here anyway. Also thought we might spend Friday afternoon and evening at MK
- MGM needs more time (boy a week just isn't enough!!!) so maybe Friday am for MGM
- Big thanks for the heads up on the bus from TL
As always you kind folks have lent your experience and your suggestions are invaluable.
