We are staying 7 night and have 7TS planned. One of which is a 2 TS restaurant, Artist Point. My son will not eat any of the foods listed on the adult's menu, so I hate to waste 2 TS credits here. Can I use 2TS for my meal and pay OOP for his? Will they let him order something off the kids menu?

Yes and maybe. You can ask the server to split the check, with some members of your party paying with Dining Plan credits and some paying with cash. With regard to folks over the age limit ordering off the child menu, which is restricted to age 9 and below, that's strictly up to the server and/or the restaurant manager. Generally, folks who ask politely are allowed, but it is by no means guaranteed.

Thanks for your reply! I guess I will have to just wait and see when we get there. I think I am going to pay OOP for the entire meal at AP as the prices for what I would like to eat do not justify the 2TS credit IMO.

Anyone with "adult" 10 year old's out there that have similar experiences that they can share? DS does like ribs, but that is about the only "adult" thing he will eat LOL.

We were at WDW in January with a picky 14 year old and I could not get over how everywhere went out of the way to adjust his meal to his taste. Captian Jacks made something not even listed on the menu and SEVERAL places allowed him to get foods "plain" and sub things like fries for veggies. He did get a child's desert one place, no problem. I can not imagine Artist Point not going out of thier way to satisfy your child but we have not eaten there since DS became a WDW adult.

we had dinner at AP last fall w/a 9yo and an 11 yo and they were very accomodating... the restaurant offered coloring pages for the kids, told us where to look for some hidden mickeys, etc... i cannot recall off the top of my head what my kids ate, but i can promise you they are picky (or should i say PICKY!) and left satiated and happy... i do know that ds had creme brulee for dessert and was in heaven (he was the 9yo and because of his food allergies, the kids desserts were off limits and our server allowed him to order an adult dessert instead, no extra charge)

Thanks for your replies! Sounds like I shouldn't have any issues with finding something that DS would like to eat!:goodvibes
