I decided to cancel our Fantasmic dinner package for Friday, 6/27, since it only works for the 1st show. That night HS closes at 10 and there is a 2nd show at 10:30. I figured we could do rides during the 9 PM show when everyone else is hopefully at the first show. How early do we need to show up at the theater for the second show if we really don't care where we sit? Also wondering if they will let you into the theater if the show has already started? We would hope to be there by 10:30 but if we sneak in one last ride before closing and are a few minutes late would that be an issue?

1- I'd be there by 9:55.

2- Don't expect that. Some CM's may make exceptions. Some won't.

3- Don't count on it.

If seeing F! is important to you, arrive earlier rather than later.
If seeing F! is of only passing interest, you can show up "whenever" and see what happens.

So funny, I just did the same thing for a few days after you and am hoping to follow your strategy. I've used the dining package the last couple of times we've been and have loved the convenience of it. I'm not thrilled with the restaurant choices anymore though and decided to cancel our package for July 1st. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that going to the second show will be okay.

I'm wondering if the same strategy can be used during super peak times like December 26th or if i should play it safe and book the dining package for that trip.

During the Christmas - New Year's week, Fantasmic often has three shows each night. For the second and third shows, the CMs clean the amphitheater between shows and they begin allowing seating 30 minutes before showtime.

But, guests can start lining up much earlier than that.
