My girls are torn. Their first cruise. She’s 7 and 9. They want to wear princess dresses to dinner and be called princess 😂 I’m assuming (hoping) they’ll eat then want to go to the kids club. Will they regret wearing their dresses? Should I get the more comfy play dresses that are still disney-ish?

We have lots of cotton sundresses that are made to look like the princesses. I'd probably either do those or put a shirt and shorts under the princess dress so it's easy to take off if it's in the way.

I would use it to set some standards ;) princesses have perfect table manners and do not whine or pout or make a fuss over things ;)

How comfortable are the dresses? And how long are they in the dresses normally? I would go for comfortable play dresses, or indeed put regular clothes under the dress to change quickly if needed.

Shorts and shirts under is a great idea!

They aren’t fussing. Just super excited and trying to make up their minds 😉 These are just the standard Disney princess dresses. A little better than Halloween style.

Princess for dinner and a change for the next event. Tell them Princess Kate does several wardrobe changes a day! It's just part of the job. Enjoy your cruise.

Agree with changing before going to kids club. My dd(6 yrs old at the time) wore her Cinderella dress to the club. It got torn as she went down the slide, she was very upset. It was a very small tear on the underskirt that I was able to easily repair, but still caused many tears. She's now 11 yrs old, I miss the cute princess stage!!

I agree to change.
Maybe a leotard under the dress.. then they can pull on shorts..take off the dress..and put a T-shirts on

DD tore a Moana skirt in the club, too. We started having her change after that. She always wears something under costumes in the park for quick changes, so we started doing it on the ship, too. Tank top and shorts or leggings fits great under most dresses!
