????????????????????

Well, it is good to see everyone wasn't laughing at my mixer! LOL CindyB, I have seen them on sale at Target etc. But guess what? Mr. EXMark lawnmower thinks that is too much for a mixer! He probably figures I wouldn't use it enough. But I still say I would if I had one. Of course, my watching Emeril on TV has nothing to do with this. :p He seems to use his a lot. Honestly, I think I could cook better if I had one. :p
Money left over??? Hmm...

I want more racks for my wine cellar. I've had to start stacking bottles on the floor since I only have racking for 150 bottles and the room can store about 900 of them on racks.

As for the kitchenaid mixer, tell your poopy-head DH to stop squawking and let you get one... or promise you one for Christmas. You WILL use it all the time.... well, I use mine several times a month. Promise him fresh whipped cream for the bed.... oops, I'll keep this PG.

As for the money remaining, your best investment will be for additional mixing bowls. I was supposed to get two with my mixer: one that came with it, and one that I'd receive in the mail with my name engraved on it. After almost a year of waiting for the bowl, and Kitchenaid sending me a few cookbooks and another plain bowl, I received my engraved bowl. Only problem was my name was spelled wrong. They sent me another one with my name right, so I now have 4-bowls. They come in very handy, and I have had all 4 in production at various times for holidays and weddings.

Good luck on your quest, Buckalew.

I am pondering that advice, RUDisney. I am just wondering when in the sentence of this request I should use the word "poopyhead" or am I supposed to omit that part? :p

I want a set of Calphalon pans. Since I have $500 I want a deluxe set with the roaster and untensils.

I think you'll have to decide on the poopyhead part on your own. I'd bring up the whipped cream idea first, if I was you.

Sharbear, you'd love the calphalon, too. Nothing cooks like calphalon. Only I never bought a set. I picked up the pieces I wanted over the years as they offered special prices on them over the years. It didn't hurt my pocket as much that way.

OK, so I'm a kitchen gadget junkie.

That is really a tough decision to make. It would either be a giftcard to Williams-Sonoma or pay off my share of the dd's and mine next trip to WDW.

Maybe I should use my $500 to have RUDisney cook for me? Seems to have all the right gadgets for the job. ;)

Shoes, plain and simple. Can never have enough shoes.

Brenda, this has me cracking up! LOL!

$500??? Hmmm, could I use it toward the $1,200 armoire I want for our living room? Plus, there's a chance I can get it for less during the January sales at Huffman Koos.

I'd take it in the form of cash, or a gift certificate to my favorite store.

I would love one as well, but I don't have a Kitchenaid mixer.. my DH was pointing them out to me at Target the other day...

I want RU Disney to cook for me as well.

Hey, if my $500 will help me to save for the house... it will have a nice kitchen.. and I will eventually get my Kitchenaid mixer...

(believe it or not Buck, I have seen them at Goodwill stores!, those beautfiul avacado ones )

Okay, that mixer would come in handy, but I'd have to get a new kitchen to have room for it.

I would take a gift certificate to Babies R Us. Babies are expensive.

Brenda, I got a Kitchen Aid for Valentine's Day one year, and I think that it's the best gift DH ever got me. I took a lot of flack from my friends because that's not the kind of thing you're "supposed" to ask for, but I love it. If you do get one, get the biggest one with the most amount of watts you can afford. It's definitely worth it. I made 5 loaves of bread at once with mine. I probably won't do that again, though, until DH agrees that we need another freezer. :)

One year I asked for a vacuum. I was tired of him having to fix the old one.

A new dishwasher (besides me that is). This one I have is absolutely about washed its last dish!

I love my Kitchen Aid mixer. Mine is old enough that when I bought it only came in one color, you had to buy it at a kitchen store because a department store clerk would look blankly when you asked if they carried them, and it cost less than $200 at the time -- I'm really old :) I even have the different attachments for grinding meat, making pasta, etc.

Of course, I got my calphalon back then, too, and it was just under $250 for a complete set.

Man...I really am old.

I've been thinking about this all day, and am having a hard time coming up with something. I tend to want smaller things, like CD's or books.

Maybe one of those air purifiers from Sharper Image. I think they run about $500.
