I'm glad you got to visit Tom Sawyer Island!! We FINALLY made it there on our last day in May... (the day I was supposed to be having a DIS-meet with you )

I hope everything goes smoothly with Cody's driving!

Did the boys enjoy Tom Sawyer Island??? I liked sitting in the rocking chair on the porch It was nice doing something a little different while we were waiting for Splash to start working

Yeah I am definitely having a hard time with the driving!! I am a very nervous passenger with an experienced driver that is why I usually drive instead of DH. I am less nervous driving than being a passenger. My DH will be doing most of the teaching.

UUGGHH-I just did an update & lost it all when I tried to preview it. So let's try this again.. We had to wait a few minutes for our Plaza ADR. I had the turkey sandwich which came with a tossed salad & DH had the Cheesesteak sub. He also got a tossed salad. I got the Plaza Sundae for dessert:

And DH got the Banana Split:

Everything was very good. After that we went to see if Splash was up & it was so we rode it & also got a fastpass for later. After riding Splash it was around 2:30 & we headed back to the Beach Club. I went to the pool-it was a very warm day. My notes say it was around 90 degrees that day. My DH took a nap.

We had these beauties delivered to our room:

We did not want to eat them yet so we put them in the fridge for later.

I figured while I was getting the strawberries I would get the cute Mickey lamp:

Our ADR for Kona was at 6:05 & we checked in & were handed a pager so I shopped a little & we got in about 15 min. later.

Wow Kona has some big rolls....

I had the pot stickers, Beef Teriyaki & White Choc. cheesecake. DH had crab cakes, Shrimp & scallops & he also had the White Choc cheesecake. DH also had a Kona Fire Rock beer. Everything was delicious!! I thought I took more pics but I guess not I did not take too many of this night either.
According to our receipt it was 7:30 when we got our check.

Then we headed to MK.

I did not write down any notes for this night but I know we used all the fastpasses we had so we rode Splash twice & BTMRR & Space. We also watched Wishes. I think I took pics with my phone that night so I could email some pics to the girls at work. I think we got back to the room & headed to the quiet pool & we went into the hot tub.

Kong was one of our favorite meals ... would go back in a heartbeat.

I love the picture of City Hall at dusk....it brought a huge smile to my face, I agree with CP, it's my favorite time at the MK

Hope you are having a great 4th of July weekend! I was just stopping by to bug you for another update only to find I had missed one. Those strawberries look delicious! And those rolls at Kona are my kind of bread. The bread can make or break a restaurant for me.

Gee, I missed an update too! for some reason the email notifications do not always work and so I miss the latest update - glad i happened to receive an email this morning!

What a nice day you had - love the strawberries, Kona and MK night photo - always soo pretty even when it's terribly hot. When the kids were young we went every August and joke about wishing when the sun went down it would take the humidity with it so it could really cool down.

Yes we love the Plaza. I have enjoyed everything we have gotten there.

The strawberries were very good. Those rolls at Kona were HUGE!! Everything was sooo good there

We enjoyed the weather here in NH this weekend. I spent it on my back porch & in my pool!! We had a cook out yesterday with my MIL & sig. other & BIL. Today I just kept going in the pool. Tomorrow they are saying 93-100 degrees I will be at work in the air conditioning.

August is very hot at Disney. I do not believe I will go during that month. I have a hard enough time at the end of May. A few years ago I got a little sick feeling from the heat. I just kept drinking Vitamin water & that helped but I do much better in April or early May. We are supposed to get some humidity here tomorrow in NH. Could reach up to 100 degrees Luckily we do not get too much of that here though & I would rather have hot weather than the COLD snowy winters. We only get to enjoy our pool for a few months so we may as well enjoy it.

Hi everyone. Last week was one of our busiest weeks at work with tax bills due on July 1st so I did not get on the computer too much here at home. This weekend was spent on my back deck & in my pool relaxing after the week we had so I will try to get an update done this week. Cody has 3 soccer games this week 2 for the Rec league & one for travel soccer (which is a home game so that will be good). Cody has also started drivers ed & has been doing a lot of driving (with DH)!! I apparently make him too nervous & he makes me too nervous so he does not want me to bring him which is fine with me I am a very nervous passenger with an experienced driver so I usually do the driving when we go somewhere. I tell my DH all the time that he needs to learn how to drive

Anyway I hope you all have a great week & in between soccer games I hope to get to my update. After this week we are on vacation which will be a staycation but with some trips to the beach & I want to see TS3 so we have some plans...and if no update this week I will get to it while on vaca.

Hi, Doreen! Your post sent me back here to fix all the typos in my post! The keys on this old laptop often do not catch and I wind up with way more typos, so usually try to remember to use spell check as it is quick - must have been in a hurry that morning!

It is hot here too, but mid 90's and higher is a way of life (I stay inside and miss the lovely NE summers) - be careful in the heat! Hope it cools down for your staycation next week.

Looking forward to an update when time permits.

Hi Everyone. So sorry I have been MIA for the past few weeks. We were on vacation the second week of July & did some day trips to the beach & went to the movies but spent a lot of time out on my back deck & in the pool. I like to be outside in the summer & do not spend too much time on my computer. We have also been busy with Cody's soccer games. So anyway I am going to get another update done before we go to yet another soccer game..

So on Tuesday 5/4 we were headed to DHS. We had the option of taking the boat or walking. We went down to the boat dock but there was no boat in sight so we decided to walk...

While we were walking these guys came out of the water to say hello:

We LOVED the walk over there & it was only about 15 minutes & it was a beautiful walk. We got there for opening & our first stop was:

And then:

We were done riding both of these by 9:30 so we headed right over to TSM to get a fastpass. Our return time was 12:25. We shopped a while & took some photopass pics. There was a beach towel that I had seen at the pool at BC that I wanted & when I went back to buy it they did not have any more so I checked at DHS & they had it so I bought it there & also a few shirts for DH & a Grumpy sweatshirt for him also. We went back to RNRC & standby said 20 min. so we decided to ride it again & it was only 10-15 min wait. Also rode ToT again & only about a 10 min wait. We went to the GMR & it was a walk on. We had the gangster again.

When we talked to Teena the wonderful CM at Beach Club she suggested to us that we change our ADR from Mama Melsroses (which we love) to Hollywood Brown Derby since we were on the Deluxe Dining so that is what we did. We had an ADR at 12:15.

They gave us complimentary champagne for our 25th anniv. It was nice in there & not very crowded. DH & I split the Cobb salad. Soooo good!!! I had the chicken & DH had the beef filet...

For dessert we had the White Choc Toffee Tower. YUM!!!!

Yes that is the only reason we ate there. We have never been on the Deluxe Plan before & did not want to spend 2 credits before. It was very good. The Cobb salad was the best!! Glad we tried it there. Not sure we will ever have deluxe again but if we did we would eat there again.

After our wonderful lunch at HBD we went & used our fastpass for TSM. As usual my DH beat my score I always think I am doing so good until I see his score. I did not take a pic of the scores but he did beat me-I will admit it After that we went to see Mulch, Sweat & Shears. We try to catch them every trip. My DH (& boys) love music so ..

When we got back to the BC I had one of those choc. covered strawberries & went to the pool for a few hours. MY DH ate the rest of the strawberries & took a nap I think..Anyway he filled up on strawberries & was not even hungry for dinner at.....
