256 mb memory card

How many pictures do you usually end up getting on a 256 mb memory card? I have heard different amounts. I will be using the high resolution to get the best pictures possible. Right??

It depends on how many mp your camera is. We have a 4mp camera and on a 256mb card we can get about 200 pictures.

Mcgrawfan, we are considering purchasing either a Nixvue or a digital wallet - there are three digital cameras in our family, and we think this would be an easier way to deal with the storage issue.

When we have gone to WDW, we always take the laptop and a burner and then spend about 1/2 hour in the evening downloading the camera.

The Nixvue has some great software that allows a lot more flexibility, including viewing on the TV screen in the stateroom! And the best thing is that either of these are portable (10 ounces) and you can just download on site.

My minolta has a 128 meg card and I get 330 pics on standard quality 1280x960 size and 200 on fine quality

i have a camcorder that also has a digital cam built in. we use a 32 Mb memory card and got over 600 pics on the low setting. i would love to use a 256 Mb card. that would be over 4500 pics

My camera is an Olypus Stylus 3.2 MP camera. It takes an xd card.

i would love to use a 256 Mb card. that would be over 4500 pics

I can't imagine it holding 4500 pictures.

it took 2 hrs to transfer the 600+ pics from the 32 Mb card to my pc. if it was a 256 Mb card it would take all week LOL
