Actually, I'm not sure why the heading on it is Black Lab....I listened carefully and the woman says he is a Newfie(Newfoundland)/Dane mix or at least that's what the RSPCA told her when they called her about him.

I've seen a Newfoundland picture online before and thought it was a Black Lab (and Labs are my favorite dogs.) I think they look somewhat alike but Newfoundlands are fluffier. Here is a pic of a Newfoundland.

He's not mine, but I thought he was a good illustration of why I once mistook a picture of a Newfoundland for a picture of a Lab (I think he's absolutely adorable, too.)
I think Kody (a Weimeraner/Lab mix who can rest his head on my computer desk because he got the Weimeraner height and the Lab bulkiness) is as big of a dog as I'd ever want to have around but the big dog is very pretty.
I have 4 Newfie's, he doesn't look too much like a Newf to me. I wonder if he could be English Mastiff/black lab. We had 2 Mastiff's that had very similar body builds. Both were just over 200 lbs. Though we saw some at at over 250lbs. That is one big dog. Unfortunately, the bigger they are the harder it is on joints and the heart, they don't live as long.
A dog that size would HAVE to be well-trained, or it would be a disaster. Those people take excellent care of him. I couldn't imagine going on 5 two mile walks a day! (although I'm sure it's good for them, and they are apparently retired and have time for it)
Did you see how the car sank down when he got in? LOL! I loved how he sat on the couch too!
