25 points! What would you do?

I recently closed on a resale that has 25 points that expire the end of August.. I am looking for suggestions on what to do? Do you think it is too late to get a couple of days at WDW in August??

I would definitely call and see if you can get a few nights in August to make use of those points. I certainly wouldn't want to see them lost and its a bit late to rent them out to someone else.

There have been posts on the board recently where people stated that they had a choice of multiple resorts on short notice.

Hope you are able to get what you want.

It never hurts to call and ask. I would think you will be able to get something. It might not be your first choice, but you will be at WDW! It will give you a chance to try out a resort you may not ordinarily choose.

When I called yesterday to check to see about changing some of my nights on my trip, they still had rooms, just not the ones I wanted.

I am WL for BLT for the 7th and 8th, but would also move the 5th and 6th so I have to call daily for that since I can't have more than 2 WL's.

Anyway, they had rooms at VWL in a studio or 1 bedroom for the 7th and 8th. They also had some SV studios at BWV for those nights.

I would call and you might be able to get something!

Give it a try. I was able to change my reservation for my trip Aug 12-17 from a studio at OKW to a 1 bdr at SSR. Good luck!

Give it a shot. We once planned a trip w/ 3 weeks notice b/c some great airfare became available. We had to pay cash for our 1st night at a different hotel using AP discount & then used pts for the next 2 nights in a one bedroom--we usually get studios.

The key is be flexible. OKW has a much better slide now. SSR still has a great spa. Those resorts are the easiest, but you can always get on a waiting list. Just be prepared to take your original ressie if the waitlist doesn't come through.

OK, so I decided it never hurts to call! My birthday is August 22, so I thought why not try that weekend! I called for a studio arriving 8/21 and departing on 8/24. I thought the Sunday night might be the hardest... As it turns out, there was availability at BLT in a standard studio for Friday and Sunday... The person at MS decided to call the resort and check on the third night (Sat) and was able to get it!! 3 nights at BLT, I can't wait. She did also say that there was availability at WL for those nights as well...
