Order was cancelled.

Placed new order with TRU and they said they would credit me $25. Haven't seen the credit yet.

Just got a code for $25 off $50. Doesn't work and everything is out of stock.

I think I'm done with TRU. This isn't their first screw up.

I thought I would play with this and see if the code would work for me. I ordered 2 Nintendo DS games @$29.99 each. I have copied and pasted the invoice/shopping cart below. Not only did the code not work...but check out the default Shipping and Handling!!!:scared1:

After successfully (I thought) using the code on Friday morning for a Star Wars Wii game, I received e:mail later that afternoon that it had been cancelled. Called Customer Service and lady told me don't worry, was a mistake and I my order would be re-instated. It would take 24-48 hours. So, by Monday, nothing. I call again and am told they will not fix my order. I will get another code. I politely explained my game was now sold out. She told me sorry, just pick another game, there are others to chose from. I said no my son specifically wants this one. She told me he wouldn't mind if I got another one??? Whatever. Anyway, I have used the e:mail me when available. What a joke. I have gotten probably 10 e:mails that it is back in stock only to find out it is instantly gone again.

I think they handled this situation very poorly. Why did they cancel some people's orders and allow others to go through? I think they have very poor customer service along with Paypal. Whichever company made the mistake should just toughen up and pay for it and in the future, not allow things to go out that are incorrect, etc. At my work, when we make a mistake, it falls on us not the customer.

OMG! You just wrote MY experience verbatim, except I'm needing the pink Nintendo DS. They keep emailing me that it is in stock and I go to order it and it is out of stock. You are right, their customer service is terrible. One girls asked why I was making such a big deal, "It's just $25.00". Can you believe she said that?
 
So I got the new email for the $25 code. I really didn't want to go ont heir website again but my Mom asked me to shop for her so I found some things last night. Of course the code was invalid. I placed the order over the phone but the rep needs to credit the $25 back to my account. I will be calling in a little while to see if it was done. I just don't have time to go to the stores so Ive been shopping online.
 
I have had so many screw ups with TRU so i called and a supervisor was supposed to call me yesterday. Finally called me today and with the $25 paypal thing not working, their site down, their members free shipping code not working and therefore missing out on a product as it went out of stock, with paypal option disappearing and with poor customer service I got a whopping 10% off code. *rolleyes* The only reason I'm still even looking at their site is because they are the only place that has the item I want at regular price. Amazon has it at double the retail price. Grrrrr!
 
I was able to order my game today with my code. No troubles. :goodvibes (so far ;) )
 
Me too (fingers crossed)! They finally had the Wii game in that's number one on my boy's list.
 
Here's my update:

I just received my $25 credit from the first order that was goofed up.

My second order using the code provided by TRU has shipped. The second order is the one where I used the code they provided, the free shipping code from signing up for their rewards program and also kept my final total above $50 to get an additional $10 back from Paypal.

It all worked out in the end but I still have a sour taste in my mouth because every time I order from them, something gets goofed up. I just don't know if I will ever shop from them again.
