25 lb CLIPPIE THREAD!! Other posters welcome, too!

Hey folks, I am here and so excited to join you all again!

As of today, I officially have my 25 lb. clippie (26.75 lbs. actually, but who is counting;) , me of course and all of you.

I got kicked in gear by a morning of the flu yesterday, let's just say I am clean stem to stern. I am determined to keep that weight off also, no reason to gain any of it back.

I upgraded to the 2 mile WATP last Friday and really like it. (Only did 1 mile last night since I was afraid I didn't have enough energy for 2 mile since I didn't eat all day) Most nights I use the weights, but didn't 1 night.

I would love to join you all in next mini-goal. I was two days late with this one, but am hoping that I can meet the next one.

Our state fair also starts this week, and I know we will go at least twice. I'll have to figure it out. I can do a gyros (with no pita) for lunch, and have to stay away from all the other goodies. I know of a place that will make me a sugar free lemon shake-up, so that is always a nice treat, and lots and lots of water.

My other big obstacle will be my 40th birthday at the end of the month. My DH will be working on my birthday (Labor Day Weekend at Yacht Club that he manages), so hopefully it won't be too bad and I know we won't go out for big dinner until after 9/1. Of course, with Atkins it isn't that hard to eat out at a nice restaurant.

Well, sorry this is so long, but feel like it's a great day.

Bebr, Hope you had a great time at the fair! Now I hope you're ready to roll up your sleeves and start counting points 'cause we're all going to get to 30 together!!!

PAdisMOM-glad you are here with us!! Don't worry about seeming unsatisfied!!! That is what we are aiming for!!! I guess instead of social climbers, we are all clippie climbers!!!

Hey, PrincessMo--jump right on the train!!! You can blow right by 25 and go straight to 30!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc I know you will hit the 25 mark by August 23!!! Your family is going to be sooo proud of you!

Woo Hoo!!! Momster is here!!! Flu can really take it out of you, can't it? Certainly not the most fun way to lose weight! Congrats on doing the 2 mile WATP!! Sounds like you have a good handle on your upcoming "obstacles"!! Can you believe we are on our way to 30 pounds lost???

Ok, Gang!!! The train is leaving the station....somebody tell the engineer to blow the whistle and clear the tracks, 'cause we are heading for the GOLD!!!!

thanks mowsie dreamer............i hope i blow right past 25lbs. too. i know that my family will be proud of me and i hope many of them go into shock (tee hee). You are so very nice and supportive! I wish you all the best in the world!

Have A Disney Day!!!!:smooth:

Hi have hit the 25 pound mark too. This past Wednesday. Yippee.

Now to just make it through the cruise and the food/wine fest...lol.

Okay fair over - actually didn't do too bad at all. But yesterday had a lunch cookout - had some desserts - but cheating is out of my system and I am raring to go!!

Off to do my Sat 6 mile walk - so it's a good start for the day!

Thanks for giving me the encouragement :D Onward and downward!!

Welcome to the 25 pound thread, webray!!! We're glad to have you aboard the 30 lb clippie express!! When is your cruise? Maybe we can get to 30 before you go! Wouldn't it feel great to leave knowing you had the gold???

Bebr-- a 6 mile walk??? I am impressed!!! We'll have a hard time catching up with you at 30 if you keep that up!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!! I'm off to walk on my treadmill. I'm NOwhere near 6 miles, but I will get there!!

Onward and Downward!!!!

How is everyone doing here in the land of 25 lbs. lost.

I was stopping to think after reading the thread by Ray how many bags of sugar, or flour or one good sized bag of dog food this would equal and that we no longer have to carry that around with us.

I hope you all are also finding it a little easier to move and breathe. Some clothes are starting to get a little big in the waist. May just have to throw them through the dryer (a new experience in the life of my clothes).

Well, how is everyone doing in weight loss? I gained back about 1 lb. total after the flu subsided, but am pleased as punch to say that 1 am 1/2 way to that new golden clippie. I am currently at 27.5 lbs and hoping to keep the downward spiral going.

Thanks for all the encouragement.

AAARRGGHH!! Stayed the same, which is good, but frustrating all the same. My surgery has really put me in stall mode. I'm hoping that when the staples come out, I can start going again.
Great job with the loss disneyeveryyear, and glad to hear the flu is gone! Yuk! THat is terrible!
Have a great week, I am going to try to get moving some more, gotta get that GOLD by Labor Day!!!
Michelle

Michelle- I think it's really great that you maintained during surgery & recovery!! Most people post that they have a gain, so you are ahead of the game!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc I know you are frustrated by this, but hang in there!! You will proudly be adding that gold clippie before you know it!!

Momster-don't those loose clothes feel nice?? If you think that feels good, just wait til we can all go buy new wardrobes to show off our new slim, trim figures!! THAT will feel great!!! Glad your flu is gone! There is no good time to get the flu, but summer seems like the worst to me!! Heat and being sick are a terrible combination :p You are sooooo close to that new clippie. It won't be long now!!

I lost 4.5 pounds this week!! For the past few weeks, I have been yo-yoing back and forth between gains and losses. Last week was a 1.5 pound gain. This week I am on the good side! I am going to be really careful about my sodium intake this week and hope that I can avoid a rebound gain for next week! This week I am at 27.75 total loss, so I am getting close enough to smell that elusive gold clippie!!:bounce:

Let's hear from all you other 25 lb thread members!! How was your week?? Anyone leaving us for the gold??

Just checking in--weighed myself today and lost 2 pounds!!!:Pinkbounc I am so excited--I was really getting down without exercise for the past week, this really feels great!!:Pinkbounc I am starting to up my activity levels, tomorrow the staples come out--hooray!! Today I am washing Vanessa (my van) and running some errands.
Hope all of you are doing great!!!
3 more til the GOLD!!!
5 more til halfway mark!!!

Wow!

Congratulations on your post surgical weight loss. I am impressed that you have kept as busy as you have this past week. Surgery would have been the perfect excuse to lay down and do nothing for a week and you didn't do that.

Good for you.

I have 2 to go for gold. Maybe we'll get there together.:)

Sounds like you already ARE in gear, Disneyaholic! Reaching your WW goal and earning Lifetime status is really something to crow about! Did you have a different, lower goal for WISH? I would have thought that you should have already added your Goal clippie since you met your WW goal!

Earning Lifetime through WW is something I hope to do--but it's still a long way away for me. Once you get there, do you find it hard to adjust to the maintainence phase? It's sooo easy for me to gain weight, I am afraid that once I enter maintenance, I will gain some back.

My apologies for taking so long to respond to this, mowsie dreamer. It's been a hectic few weeks around here. (DS started back to school on Monday and DD leaves for the college dorm for the first time next week!!)

Anyhow, yes, my personal goal is about 8 pounds less than my WW goal. I set the WW goal a little higher "just in case" I find it too difficult to maintain my true goal weight. I also wanted to get to WW Lifetime a little sooner, so I wouldn't have to go in every week! I'm kind of taking it easy for the rest of the summer, but seeing everyone wanting to switch clippies by Labor Day --- hmmmm... might just have to jump on that bandwagon. That will put me within just a couple of pounds of my ultimate goal.

I have not found maintenance to be too difficult. I still eat my WW style breakfasts and lunches. I just allow myself a few more liberties with snacks and dinners. I really have not had the "urge to splurge" and totally pig out. (I guess I *am* a little more careful on some days than others, but overall I've done OK.)

I am hoping that the once-a-month weigh-ins at WW will keep me on track. As much as I like the WW program, I don't EVER want to have to pay for it again! ;)

Woo Hoo!!!! Michelle, that HAS to feel great!!! 2 pounds lost within DAYS of surgery!!! I am soooooo impressed!! AND you're out washing your VAN!!!! At this rate you are going to have the gold way before Sept 1!:bounce:

Momster- Only 2 left to get the gold!!!!! It's getting close now!!:Pinkbounc

but seeing everyone wanting to switch clippies by Labor Day --- hmmmm... might just have to jump on that bandwagon
Disneyaholic-I'm glad you're jumping aboard the 30 pound clippie express!!! We can do this!!! I can't wait to see that red goal clippie on you!! I don't blame you for not wanting to pay at WW-that's a great incentive to keep it off!:bounce:

Look out, 30 pound clippie thread!!! Here we come!!!

Hello???????
(Poking head up out of 20 lb clippie thread)
