Hi Everyone,

I know it's not Disney, but if anyone needs a 2008 Season Pass to any Six Flags park, or a season pass renewal, they are on sale today only for 25% off. Just go to the Six Flags website and purchase your tickets.

Here's a couple of hints:

If you are renewing your season pass, it will cost $10 to have you new pass sent to you. If you purchase a new season pass, it only costs $3 for the print at home option. So, if you don't mind waiting in line to take a new picture at the park, you can save $7 by just purchasing a new pass instead of renewing.

Six Flags theme park season passes are good at all Six Flags parks (except water parks), so if you live close enough and can visit another park where the passes are cheaper, purchase your season pass for that park. In future years, you can renew your pass online without visting that park. That's what I did. I live 30 minutes from Great Adventure, where season passes are $90. 2 years ago, we visited Six Flags America outside Washington, DC. We purchased season passes for $50 each, and now we can renew online at that price ($37.49 with 25% off). The only drawback is that you do not get the coupon book, which quite frankly, we don't find worth the extra cost of purchasing at Great Adventure.

I thought I was the only Jersey person who bought my passes in Maryland. :D

Can you have your pass picture taken at NY if you purchase in Maryland? It looks like you should be within 300 miles, or you have to call to get your tickets..but where would you have your picture taken? I dont' think we could buy form Maryland, and then get our picture at NY, could we?

No, you have to physically visit the park to have your passes validated the first time. Two years ago I had to drive down to Maryland for the day to get my passes. The only good thing is after that you can renew online and they keep using the same picture.

Did anyone else find the option for a parking pass? I renewed and couldn't figure out how to add it on.

My MIL got in on this deal thanks to this board for my husband and my son. Thanks to the 5 free passes for friends and family my girls are going to get to go too. What a deal this was. My son always goes to Six Flags for his birthday in April and now I won't have to worry about getting tickets now. I am so thriilled.

I am thinking of doing this today because I have a six flags an hour away from us in Chicagp. Were not doing Disney till Dec 2008. So I need something for this summer. I need 4 tickets. If I order my tickets separately will I get 5 free on each order?

Is anyone sure you can use them in all parks? I know that was the case in the past, but when I look online I don't see it listed anywhere. I love the idea of buying it in Maryland and then going to GA here, works great for us since we will be in Baltimore in April.

I had the same question. This is what it says online.

"Where may my season pass be used? Your pass may only be used at the park(s) listed in the season pass description. If your season pass is good at other parks, you must process your photo I.D. at your "home" park before it can be used at other locations. Season pass options, premium pass benefits and parking, if applicable, are only valid for the park of purchase."

How do you know if your pass is good at other parks before you purchase it?

Has anyone been to Hurricane Harbor in NJ? If so, how is it and how does it compare to the Disney Waterparks? I was thinking of getting the season passes for my kids for next summer but I have heard mixed reviews. My nephew had his flip flops stolen last summer and I have heard a few other negatives. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

They are definitely valid at other Six Flags Theme Parks. Here's what it says on the Six Flags America (Maryland) website:

ADDITIONAL BONUS
Six Flags America's Season Pass:

Includes FREE admission at any Six Flags Theme Park worldwide! (Once you process your pass at Six Flags America for a photo ID.)

Notice that is says Theme Park, which means that it is not honored at other Six Flags Water Parks.

Remember that you must visit the park you purchased your ticket from in order to get your photo taken for your season pass. After that, you can visit any Six Flags Theme Park, as many times as you want!

Could you direct me to where on the website it says that? I can't seem to find it (and boy do I want to find it!!) I'm hoping if I can find it on the Maryland page I can find it on the New England page. Does it matter that the passes to the park in Maryland are called Play Passes and these are Season Passes? I would love to get them since we go to both New England and the one in New Jersey!

I was going to renew a few weeks ago, but held up. I'm 99.9% sure that this was listed as a benefit on the web page at that time.

I'd have to believe they would mention something on their website if they were doing away with this perk.

This stinks! I don't know why they wouldn't include this information on the website! Maybe with the 25% off you don't get that benefit? I'd think that wasn't the case, but who knows! I'm going to try to call tomorrow morning and see what they say.

It also says this under terms of use for seasons passes:
"Ticket or season pass voucher not valid at other parks or during private parties."
Maybe that means one day tickets and unactivated season pass vouchers are not valid at other parks?

So, I'm in the process of buying 2 passes, one for myself and one for my 4 year old son. It says we need photo id to get into the park- what do I do for my 4 year old. I don't have any photo id's for him. I called and our park is closed until Jan. 2. Help please!

YIPEE!! Thanks. I didn't renew the end of last season. Usually I do. Glad I didn't

You don't need id for kids.

Did everyone have to pay shipping? The $10 for shipping kind of wipes out the savings for 1 ticket. Last year my son just had to go to guest services to get his i.d., no shipping costs.

Thank You!

We were going to get passes anyway as something to do during the summer. We've had them in the past but not the past year. I figured we saved $75 for our family.

I love the Budget Board!
