Natalie the pontoon boats were great. I was a bit worried about all of our guests being seperated but all of the boats sailed together and were practically tied together in a big line for the fireworks. It was definitely one of my favorite parts of the wedding.
We got engaged on the grand 1. I wanted it for the bridal party more than anything. I called months in advance and put the first day I could book on my calendar. We were down at a planning session the week before and I begged to be able to book it early and was told that I had to wait and not to worry there wouldn't be a problem. I called first thing the morning that I could make the reservation only to find it was already booked. Apparently the rules changed the week before and you can now make reservations 6 months or so out. I WAS SO ANGRY!! I begged Disney to be contact the people who had it (named Kelly) and offer to let us pay for their entire cruise/dinner/whatever they had planned if they were willing to change their reservation by a day. We went through the concierge and the marina and DFTW. No one could do anything. If I were those Kelly people and my plans were flexible I totally would have let someone pay for my trip to change it by a night. Disney was unwilling to contact them. I guess I understand why. It just makes me sooo angry! So the entire trip everyone in our boat screamed BOO KELLY every time the grand 1 passed us.
Sorry for that rant. My advice - get it for the bridal party and do pontoon boats for everyone else.
