.

I hear you on the shoe search! My dh is about 3" shorter than me and hates that. I don't think that ladies on my height look good in flats, I think it makes my ankles look fat. :lmao: But i do wear lower ones for him. I had a small 1/2" heal for the VR ceremony on DCL, but splurged on some awesome Pink Heals for the Epcot shoot. Dang if he didn't tell me he liked the pink ones better and wished i had wore them for the ceremony!!

Natalie the pontoon boats were great. I was a bit worried about all of our guests being seperated but all of the boats sailed together and were practically tied together in a big line for the fireworks. It was definitely one of my favorite parts of the wedding.

We got engaged on the grand 1. I wanted it for the bridal party more than anything. I called months in advance and put the first day I could book on my calendar. We were down at a planning session the week before and I begged to be able to book it early and was told that I had to wait and not to worry there wouldn't be a problem. I called first thing the morning that I could make the reservation only to find it was already booked. Apparently the rules changed the week before and you can now make reservations 6 months or so out. I WAS SO ANGRY!! I begged Disney to be contact the people who had it (named Kelly) and offer to let us pay for their entire cruise/dinner/whatever they had planned if they were willing to change their reservation by a day. We went through the concierge and the marina and DFTW. No one could do anything. If I were those Kelly people and my plans were flexible I totally would have let someone pay for my trip to change it by a night. Disney was unwilling to contact them. I guess I understand why. It just makes me sooo angry! So the entire trip everyone in our boat screamed BOO KELLY every time the grand 1 passed us.

Sorry for that rant. My advice - get it for the bridal party and do pontoon boats for everyone else.

Your pictures are great!

I do have to say though that you don't really know what Kelly had planned for that night on the Grand 1 so I don't think it is fair to have been shouting "boo Kelly". Maybe her fiance was going to propose, maybe it was a special date for them as well....you just don't know. I know that you really wanted it and I would be frustrated as well if the rules changed, but I don't think it is fair to think that everyone else should change their plans because you wanted it. I am not trying to be rude, just maybe see the other side of it.

Did you get ready in the Walt Suite too? That is a big room!

and did you just go barefoot? I saw the picture of you and Bill walking out on the lawn and it looked like you were barefoot. I wanted to wear those beaded foot thong but I was afraid the deck would be too hot for no shoes. My DH is about an inch shorter than me too but I just don't like flats on my feet.

Becki - the dresses were all Lilly. I live in Lilly so it was only fitting for me to have a Lilly wedding. Our weekend was the usual - yesterday we took Molly to puppy class - always good times. How was wrestlemania?

I love Lilly Dresses! I don't own one yet( but plan to soon). You're the second bride I've seen have a Lilly Wedding:)! The other was a childhood friend's wife who had her Bridesmaids in Lilly dresses! I'm glad to hear you had fun with Molly's Puppy Classes and you had a good weekend. I bet she's got to be growing. Wrestlemania was great as usual to watch(thank you for asking). I wish I had my phone ready to catch Skyler getting scared by one wrestler whom scares him on a weekly basis(he does look pretty intimidating for an over 6', 300 lb. man covered in tattoos.). I'll spare you the rest of the details, but we loved watching it. Just one of those things that came wig the territory of being married to Erick(but at least I don't complain about it).

What's up with all of us brides being so tall and all of our DHs being short??

I'm 6'1" and DH barely has me by an inch. He calls me "short" because I'm a tad bit shorter than him, but it's hilarious.

I understand, though, because most guys I dated were shorter. I wore flats to the wedding, but I also struggled through college and such with what type of shoes to wear. Half way through college I just threw in the towel and wore whatever heels I wanted. They'd just have to deal!

But, for your wedding, it makes perfect sense to not want to tower over him. I think being barefoot is cool!

First, your pictures are amazing...everything looks just lovely! Second, I'm 5'11 and the DF is 5'8...so even with flats I was screwed from the start

this is going to come off as tush-kissing but that picture you posted with the feet reminded me of Jackie Kennedy on her wedding day..I don't know why..if it was the way you were turned or if I have seen a picture with her walking and someone holding her dress..but I told the other girls..you looked like Jackie in that picture..very pretty

I do wear heels..my DH doesn't care and he likes them..but during our courthouse ceremony I realized that I was going to tower over him for the photos so I kicked them off real quick.

Natalie Wishes is my FAVORITE!! The whole reason we did the GF over the boardwalk was because of Wishes. I read on here that they are changing the show.... just wanted to make sure you knew so you didn't get your heart set on it...:sad2:

Oh no, they can't change Wishes! It's the best! :sad1: I swear i cry everytime i hear the music! It's got such sentimental meaning to us now aswell. Oh well, guess i can't do much about it. :sad2:

WOW! Your getting ready pictures are amazing. I LOVE those bridesmaid dresses and the wraps! That is funny that you ended up shoeless! What a memory that will be share with your grand children someday!!

Yay for all the pictures! The fireworks cruise looked like it was so fun! It looks like you could see the castle and the fireworks really well. Oh and I have the opposite problem with height. I am barley 5 feet and DF has me by at least 10 inches! I am always trying to wear really high heels and I don't know what to wear for the wedding cuz I don't want to fall on my face!:lmao:

You're so lucky you're tall. I have to wear platforms or stilts to catch up in height to Erick(I'm only 5'1"). Thank goodness his mom & sister are my height too.

Your wedding is so beautiful so far...wow - I love the colors (obviously) and your DRESS!!! Wow, you look so phenomenal!

Sorry to keep going on about the fireworks but do you think we would get some good photographs of us with the fireworks in the background if we were on either Grand 1 or a pontoon boat? Not sure how much room there is on the boats.
