Just wanted to share: When you were talking about your troubles with the Grand One, I thought the date of your cocktail party sounded familiar, and the name struck a chord with me. Some friends of mine rented the yacht for that evening as part of their festivities for an annual get-together that they have once a year for friends from across the US. Small world. They actually had a problem where it almost went to ANOTHER bride at the WP with the same name as them...

They said they would have tried to get another date if anything had been avalible and if they had known....

I'm glad they didn't hear your guests yelling at them though, since they are very nice people and weren't provided with the opportunity to even attempt to change the date :

Every other night was open!! I desperately wanted Disney to try and contact them. I would have done anything to please Kelly if her date was at all flexible. GRRRRRRRRRRR

Oh well. It's over. I am glad to hear that she is a nice person. I guess that makes me feel a little better. sigh.

Sorry, I didn't want to make you angry all over again, just wanted to let you know they never had the chance to work something out! I'm sure the group would have tried to accomodate you if they had had the opportunity

Disney was unwilling to contact them. I guess I understand why. It just makes me sooo angry! So the entire trip everyone in our boat screamed BOO KELLY every time the grand 1 passed us.

Sorry for that rant. My advice - get it for the bridal party and do pontoon boats for everyone else.

I'm sure if Disney had contacted them and they had flexible plans that they'd be willing to change their date - I sure would (And IrisBud says thay would have!).

It looks like you guys had a great time, anyway, though!

The first time I ever called DFTW it was because I wanted to do a dessert party at the train station and thats how I got turned over to Bill.

They really should do something.

Apparently the problem is something to do with the fact that the catering department or something like that in the magic kingdom was broken up years ago. Thats Disney's excuse anyway.

I agree! They really need to come up with something for a DP in MK. I was wondering when they had the MK DP for day guests last summer if there would be the possibility to just book the whole thing and do a private DP.

Oh wow Cassie, I'm so sorry to hear you run into the problem of finding long enough pants. I always get told that I need to be stretched out to catch up to Erick(even my ex who was over a foot taller than me). I only hhad one guy I dated in HS who was shorter than me(even at 5'1").

You dont know how bad we feel! We would have been more than happy to to change our date for you.
We only wish we had been reading about your plans beforehand.

At least we had amazing weather that night, right?
On the water and not the least bit cold. It was perfect.
