24 month Place holder Question

What happens if you do not book a cruise in the required 24 months? When you book a cruise after that date do you loose the ten percent discount and OBC?

Is the refund automatic after the 24 month mark if you have not booked? Are there any circumstances under which you would not receive a refund of a placeholder deposit? I've booked placeholders in the past but have never not utilized them so I haven't paid appropriate attention to the details of the refund policy.

Just talked to Disney, If you change to another date before the 24 months have expired they will move your refund to another cruise but you will lose the ten percent discount and OBC.

Did they say what will happen if you don't use it at all?

I have one I booked last November (no date, just the place holder). At this point, I don't think we're going to use it because I can't find anything reasonably priced. I'm hesitant to just cancel it (just in case) but I also can't see us booking DCL again any time soon.

Before your 24 month deadline, call and cancel. The deposit is refunded. If you don't call and don't schedule a new cruise, it is refunded. I would prefer to call to cancel and talk to a live person. But, bottom line, it will be refunded and you have till the 23rd month to decide.
