I was reading a rumor about DL in California having a 24 hour event around Memorial Day. There are rumors that MK would have one too. Anyone hear anything about this?

no, but can you tell me how this works? You only use one day of your park ticket? and stay up to 24 hours?

Yup. That is what they did last year when I was at MK for "one more disney day" for leap year 2012. I believe the park was open 6 am to 6 am. But, that was MK only. And the crowds for wishes nearly made me suffocate! I watched from the hub and then 45 min after, I was still stuck there, not moving!

It might make sense for the parks to have a 24 day on the Sunday or Monday of Memorial Day weekend.

Schools are out locally and I'm sure they'd get huge gate.

But as always with "one day events" at Disney parks...you wouldn't want any part if them.

Disney parks suck on crowded days...it's just nature. Christmas, New Years, 4th of July...all terrible and no "memories" outweigh the general human discomfort

I can't decide if I want to be there that day or not. Lol We purposely chose a not so busy day.

I read a post or a story that at DLR they grossly underestimated the crowd for the day. After work all the AP holders started to filter in and it was a mess. Like running out of food and supplies and just not having enough CM's to keep things clean.

In park managers where trying desperately to contact higher ups on what to do and couldn't get a hold of them.

Not sure they would want to do that again.

I heard this today as well via Twitter. Interesting to hear if it's true,

I am curious where the rumors are coming from (twitter?)
I mean on a holiday weekend, and a Star Wars Weekend too?
I really wonder if Disney wouldn't pick a time that wouldn't already have a crowd coming in.
