Maybe you're pregnant :lmao: Seriously, if this thing has been going on a couple weeks and you're taking prescription anti-nausea drugs without relief, it's time to go to a doctor. Your symptoms could be anything from bacterial infection to nasty virus to parasites(now aren't you glad you asked?) You probably need a little testing to figure out what's going on. Don't assume that your daughter has the same illness as you do, just because the symptoms are similar. As you said, you haven't really spent a lot of time together. It could be that you both started out with the same bug, but now it's changed and each of you is fighting something different.

If you don't want to drive all the way down to your doctor, go to an urgent care. You've let this thing go on long enough.:flower3:

If you both have been sick for that long I think it's time to suck it up and see a Dr., germy people or not. Stop at CVS and grab some face masks and maybe even some rubber gloves.

Since you spend so much time up there at the lake maybe it's time to consider having a Dr. up there. That would seem like the most sensible solution going forward.

My mindset is if you are that sick than do something to take care of it. I know you've mentioned before you have underlying health problems so I don't think I would let it go too long just in case. And why would you think it's not the flu?

From what I have been hearing a lot of people with H1N1 don't have the typical body aches that you usually see with the seasonal flu. There is so much stuff going around right now that who knows what it is. I would find someone to drive you to the dr. Don't you have all kinds of health problems already? Are you coughing? Could it be pneumonia?

PP is right...H1N1 is very different from a 'typical' flu. Not only do you not have to have the muscle aches...you don't even have to have a fever!

What you're describing DOES fit with H1N1. And if you've been sick for over a week Tamiflu won't help at this point.

http://www.cdc.gov/H1N1flu/qa.htm

"Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea. People may be infected with the flu, including 2009 H1N1 and have respiratory symptoms without a fever."

Given that you have other health issues, I would at least call your doctor so he's aware.

Hope you and dd are both feeling better soon!

I was going to say the same thing. Your symptoms definitely fit H1N1. You don't have to have a fever, or body aches. Symptoms include everything you mentioned. I hope you feel better soon!

I would agree with the pp that you could have H1N1...

But I have another thought...

Could it be some sort of carbon monoxide poisoning? Headache and nausea and vomiting and napping...sounds like it could be a slow leak?

Years ago I was babysitting and someone left a burner on in the house (before I got there) and it was not lit. Totally an accident. But I got really tired, a big headache, and was about to lie down and rest - the kids were already sleeping - when my friend stopped by and smelled the gas. She freaked, we evacuated and all ended well.

I am just wondering if it could be something that maybe you would want to rule out?

I second the potential for low-level carbon monoxide problems. Get a monitor or two.

Symptoms of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Low levels of carbon monoxide poisoning can be confused with flu symptoms, food poisoning or other illnesses and can have a long term health risk if left unattended. Some of the symptoms are the following.
  • Shortness of breath
  • Mild nausea
  • Mild headaches
Moderate levels of CO exposure can cause death if the following symptoms persist for a long measure of time.
  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea
  • Light-headedness
High levels of CO can be fatal causing death within minutes.

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions..
