Wow! You could get married in front of the castle for that price! ;) I really hope that includes the floral BEO too!

Are there some things on your BEO that you can DIY? Like the carnation balls, Tanya made really cute flowers out of paper, and it really would not be hard to set 6 floral balls on the columns before the wedding. That is $750 saved right there! :thumbsup2 And check out a TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Home Goods and see if you can find any vases cheaper compared to renting. At least then you have vases for home after the wedding!

Edit: Here is a link to her flowers in case you haven't seen them: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=33589441&postcount=334 :)

:faint:

Does that include the floral BEO????

How about an itemized list; we can help you cut things. :)

Yup that does! It's still ridiculous!!

$26k??? Dang! That would be a nice portion of money towards a down payment on a house! :rotfl:
No kidding!!! We need to do some MAJOR chopping!!

I'm not sure what we are going to cut and what we aren't...some stuff it's just worth it to have Disney do. I'll try to cut and paste our BEO in the next post.

Great idea. I would totally buy vases/lanterns instead of renting them. It seems like a waste to pay all that money that you can't even keep.

I even like those "flowers". Since they would be at the alter, it wouldn't be that easy to tell they are fake.

Yup that does! It's still ridiculous!!

At least it's included.

No confetti canons how devastating, not that I really know what those are but they sound cool. Goodluck with the cutting I know you can do it!

I'm not sure I like how the WP just added them b/c they were cool....but heck...like you said...at least you know what the cost would have been for all the bells and whistles!!!

yay ADRs! Sounds good to me!

I am shocked at your BEO! I agree the list is a must. This way you can have everything you want without having to go crazy! Good luck

uh oh!

after reading what everyone has said, i agree with the vases/ take your own thing (If you can that is!?) because the thing i really dont like, is paying for it all when you cant keep anything? Im not talking about chair covers or such, but things like the centerpieces-candles, flowers, vases filled with LED lights... things like that you can get somewhere and bring yourself, if i was Disney, i wouldnt charge so much for these because i would think about people bringing their own. If there are things like this that can save you money, then go for it! With the favours.... have a look around and see if you can save money elsewhere?

If you post the BEO, there might be little things on the list that other brides have had, but wish they hadnt of had - which might help you out a bit if they give you their opinion to have it or not through their experience of having it?

I remember talking to a bride on here and she told me all her 'wish she hadnt of done to save money' list... and one of them that she was glad she did was the BOC - because she only ended up with the bar bill being $850..whereas if she had gone with the package.. it would have set her back $2k- and she only changed her mind at the last minute.

I think the list thing is a very good idea. Thats what we did. We decided on things like, the Coach was very important to us, and with it being a Disney wedding and all- it is something on the 'cant live without' list.

I must have missed it but what is the budget? How much do you need to cut out?

Which photographer did you decide? (I am still in love with 1313.)

I checked in this morning hoping to see the itemized list and help you cut things. I was ready with my red pen.

You said that your budget is 13K, but that is just for the Disney part right? It doesn't include the dress, shoes, hairpiece, photographer, etc?

I ask, because you said that the Roots were now in your budget, but they weren't before.

Do you have a TOTAL budget? Have you added up what you already spent? If you have a complete and total budget, then IF you still want to keep something, you could maybe pull from the other budget.

It's great that you have a budget in mind, but IMHO it doesn't really help unless you do a COMPLETE budget (as I said add up EVERYTHING, including what you have already spent - even if you aren't going to use it now, since it's money spent - and then get an idea of what you have spent and what you still need to spend).

Lol no kidding!

I think that was Eric's reaction!

Well she did say a few times, let's just add stuff you can always take it off later. Even in the email she sent it said this is just a rough initial estimate and now we have to schedule a meeting to "adjust!"

I am shocked too!! I mentioned to Lauren at one point, I swear if it's like $22k I will cry...if I only knew!

With flying in from NY I think that brining stuff might not be super easy...there are things that while kinda expensive, we may just have to go with. I am thinking of maybe cutting it down to 2 altar arrangements even though I love the 3!!!

I tried posting the BEO but it's in pdf form and without retyping the whole thing I am not sure how to post it. I'll keep working on it. We also did BOC but it's still like $1500 and then if we don't spend that it's refunded later.

We'd like to not go over $13,000. There was a $2000 deposit, $1000 goes toward the $12,000 minimum and $1000 is a security deposit that is returned after the wedding if we don't spend it. We don't plan on seeing that $1000 come back:rotfl:
We won't decide on a photograher until I get back (Monday) and Eric and I can sit down and talk. I love both Roots and 1313:confused:

Holy crap! You have to cut the Disney portion in half!?!?!?!?! Good luck with that. lol

I would still look into the cost of buying things and shipping them. It just seems like such a waste to rent (especially at Disney prices).

Your list of things that still needs to be paid doesn't seem like a lot, but it's a lot to come up with in four months (well, actually less time then that).

You have also mentioned getting new shoes, possibly a headband, etc. Those little things can add up.

I'm not sure how much 1313 is, but I know the Roots are pricey and you will need the deposit soon.

Not trying to be a downer, but trying to help you see a clear picture when making a decision on what to do from here.
