I know I am not the popular opinion around here, but if I could save $260 and not have the aisle runner so that I could save something that means more from getting cut like the custom cake you are planning, I would ditch the aisle runner.

We had a red aisle runner..that is the standard red carpet that DCL rolls out and I can honestly say, I don't really look at my pictures and see the carpet. I look at the faces, the sky, the floral...never the carpet.



These tables need linens. The chairs aren't really that bad and match the venue, but you need table cloths. You made a good choice with the napkins color and lanterns..they will look really pretty with the African area.

Oh yeah. After seeing that I agree!

I hope you don't take my question the wrong way, but do you remember every little detail from your first wedding?

I ask because if there are things you had, but have trouble remembering, then they weren't that important. So, if you had a runner then, but barely remember it, then you probably won't remember it this time. I would think back to the first wedding when trying to decide what to cut from this one.

Sunday- Kona for Breakfast and Wolfgang Pucks for dinner
Monday- Raglan Road. This is with our bridal party and my brother (who I consider part of our bridal party)
Tuesday- Nothing yet. Have to call group dining to get Grand Floridian Cafe
Wednesday- The Wedding!!
Thursday- Le Cellier with Lauren and Patrick
Friday-Whispering Canyon with Lauren and Patrick
Saturday-Citricos (our last dinner of the honeymoon)
Sunday- Breakfast at Boma

We got all our favs and I'm so excited!!

I booked mine today, too! And yes, what a cluster! I was super stressed about it and I was at home (taking the day off work). I can't imagine trying to do it while out of town! But, it looks like you got some great ADRs...congrats!

OMG, how crazy were ADR's??!!?? I started at 6 am, and finally made ressies at 5 pm! It looks like you got some awesome meals planned! Yay for getting all your favs!

What happened with ADR's yesterday..Melissa was on all day with them and so was another friend..Did they have computer problems?

Have they given you an estimate of the cake? I know you really like the pink..but just hear me out...can you get the ribbon to match the linens? All the greens and rusts will look so great with Tamu Tamu..the cake seems out of place even with the print.

I know..you really WANT the pink and its your cake and I have a whole "make everything match and coordinate" issue..so I just wanted to say that..because the tables look like they will be so pretty but the cake sorta looks like it was made for a different event.

Chilly was right...it was the 180 switchover and it was a COMPLETE mess. Online system turned over (to 180 days) at 6:00 a.m. and had completely crashed by 6:25, and no one was able to make online reservations in the 25 minutes prior to crashing because the system wasn't working (couldn't enter in your hotel confirmation #, couldn't select the date you wanted to search for, etc.). The phone lines opened at 7, obviously, so everyone had to call. Some people got through quickly. While others got busy signals and "all circuits busy" for hours. The system the CMs use finally crashed in the early afternoon, so you couldn't even call to make your ADRs because the CMs had no way to do it. The best part of that was that some people waited on hold for over an hour only to reach a CM and be told to call back later because the system was down. To say the transition did not go smoothly would be the understatement of the week!
Luckily, I was able to get through via phone by 8. But I talked to many on the Dis that weren't able to get through until the afternoon. I think the online system finally was up and running again by midnight.

Lol you aren't kiddin... I think we can do it thought...there's lots of stuff added on that we casually mentioned but they priced out, like Confetti canons

That price also includes our Rehearsal dinner (paid for by Eric's parents) and Bridal portraits at MK and AK (not included in the minimum but we budget for)...so that leaves $23,000 lol
