Hi all checking in...


I made DVC reservations for after the cruise. one night.
Still need to make them for before the cruise 2 nights.

I ended up getting 3 studios, BWV's

And we have decided to go with old key west before, to use less points!

I also got wait list request that came thru. Disney Grand Californian.
for the upcoming Alaska cruise.


We also Got Our GTY Room Assigned for that cruise as well...

we went from cat 11 c Inside room deck 1 to cat 11 b deck 6

Same room higher deck , Technically it is an upgrade!

But not really!

If you consider being on a low deck and going to a higher deck an upgrade!



Lets see Still need air for this trip and also Return air for the Alaska cruise.



When I booked the return portion it was suppose to be from Seattle to Boston, I mistakingly booked it the other way around
and noticed not until several days later at that time Jet Blue will not swap it around for free they require that I pay the change fee of 100 pp.

So I have been shopping around, trying to find some other deals,
on other carriers, Yes they may get the money because I will cancel and have a small credit.
But I will use another carrier if I can, to not help them with there bottom line.

this mistake if i rebook will cost me $200.00 so if i find a lower fare I may olny have to pay 160 - 180 out of pocket...
Did i make a mistake yes i did! do the rules of the fare require that yes it does.
BUT! still leaves sour taste in mouth. both planes practicably empty from seat selection.....


This would be a simple thing to just swap around, and have frequent flyer member be happy about.

Instead i have shared my unhappy story on this board .....
read by 100's

I am purchasing air for 8 for this trip probably would have been on Jet Blue.
I have enough points for one leg of travel with this company.!

We will be at OKW 16 nights before the cruise so look out for us.

Airlines sqeeze every $ they can don't they? they are so shortsighted, OK they might make a few extra $'s now but they lose way more in the long run.

Hygeine, sorry for your flight issue....Your right, how frustraiting it is that they are not willing to give an inch for a customer with a long relationship. Stupid, especially in this economy. Is therfe any recourse through your credit card company...? just a thought. Good Luck with it all.

It's just my son and I...if I had more Kids we'd be cruising less.

I am contemplating booking the comfort inn at paradise island to be able to get to Atlantis now too... way cheaper than the excursion price for my son and I...I read a lot of the message boards and no one so far has had it turn out bad as far as I can see. I gave myself a day or two to comtemplate.

I DID book a trip at the beginning of the summer for DS and i to DISNEYLAND! I am excited! I have been there but my DS has not... so it will be nice to do it with him ... wow...gabby arent I LOL

Tried again yesterday, Jet blue sent me an email saying that the time had changed for the flight.
20 minutes, so I called them and said this time change will simply not work!
and i wish to cancel. She said i need to speak to Super, Came back and said
sorry we don't have to do anything for you! for a 20 minute time change!
and as she read the notes on my file, mention i had called and emailed on this before!

I mentioned to them that I would just remain an unhappy customer and To have a nice day!

Mean while I think i have figure out what route i am actually going to take to Get home from Vancouver, lowest cost, with least amount of stops.

I know I know pay the 100 pp change fee you made the mistake and move on LOL

Jet Blue just called did the same thing to us. I'm not concerned about a tiny change, but I am worried that they will make a more significant change, or turn our nonstop into a flight with stops... this has happened to me before on another airline, and there were no good options offered.

We have booked the Comfort Suites to do Atlantis and I am very excited about it. It's still a lot of money, but a lot less than doing the Disney excursion, and as people have noted on these boards, it seems to work out just fine.

Nancy, we also booked a room at Comfort Suites for the Nassau day - have you done that before? I haven't, but it sounds like a good way to see Atlantis.

We haven't done Comfort Suites before, but we knew we wanted to go to Atlantis and it seemed like a perfect way to make everyone happy. We'll get to see Atlantis and the kids will get to do the water park - a win-win for everyone!

We are also interested in doing the Palo brunch.

I wonder if Palo has a private room like it does on the Magic? If enough of us are going to try to get brunch, maybe we can try to get that room.

My DD13 would be interested in corresponding (read, emailing) with your DD14, although they might not be in the clubs together since I think the cut off is 14 for the older club. DD13 won't be close enough to 14 by then to move up (December birthday). But if that is ok with you, let me know and we can connect them! I'm also thinking about offering her the wild side excursion on CC, although I haven't mentioned it to her yet.

Great! I'll PM you with DD14's email address. She'll be a young 14, June Birthday, and I'm contemplating keeping her with the 11 - 13 year olds. I'll probably sign her up for the wild side excursion on CC. She's all about sports and I know she'll enjoy herself in this excursion.

Nlm - I think trying to get the private room for the brunch is a great idea, if enough of us are interested. I've never done it before but I'll ask my TA how it's done.

I checked with my TA - in order to get the private room in Palo for the brunch we would have to have everyone organized and pay in advance for the entire group. If there was a show of interest from our group we could try to arrange it.

Lot has happened ...

Ok, so I was Unemployed for the winter and 3 weeks ago I went to a project for a 2 week gig, (Union construction worker ~~ Surveyor)
They had me stay on after the 2 weeks, so We canceled our Alaska Cruise, on 5/3, Was going to Fly to DL on 4/30, We figured a pension credit and health care was more important!

Lost 50 % of the cruise Fare, and had the rest moved to the reservation for this cruise, leaving a small balance for 1 of the 3 staterooms.

Hey that is life!
I was hoping this would happen but not til middle of MAY..




I am Not missing this cruise!
5 kids, the looks on there faces will be of complete amazement!
That will be our Reward!

Believe me, for those who have not been on the Dream Yet!
it is Wow!

It was Mothers day here on Sunday, being a florist my busiest week of the year, I did over 100 hours work between Mon~Sun so very little time to be on here. My magnets are printed cut and in an envelope??? I have a few from previous cruises, but I actually did them one snow day when we were trapped in the house driving each other crazy! I also wanted to comment to you that I work with a nurse named michelle who's daughters are also Madison and Mikayla. Her husband is not named Mike though. I thought that was so funny.

Counting down the days. I am looking forward to making my final payment and getting my cabin assignment. GTY, is such a pain from that aspect.

Coach Rick - has there been any more conversation about group shirts? I would be interested if everyone was doing it. Not sure about lime green - lol - but it will stand out!

I still have to start thinking about magnets and FE gifts. We have friends next door to us in 7082 that you can add to the list. I have to confirm if they want their names shared and if they will do FE. They are mom, dad, DS(8), DS(5). Also from Newfoundland.

We booked one-night pre-cruise at AKL on a travel agent rate - so excited to get to stay at this beautiful resort for even one night! Then we are doing 5 nights post cruise at CSR.

Nancy , I did the same (used AAA), when compared to the excursion rate we made out big time! Flights all made too ...I cannot wait anymore..wanna go now!
