20th anniversary - where would you go (besides Disney)?

We did Seville for Valentine's Day pre-kids. It was awesome.

I'll always remember sitting in the Plaza D'Oro when Weird Al's Amish Paradise started blaring from somewhere. It still makes me laugh.

We've been twice and I want to live there now. Ok, maybe not mid-summer when it's 100 degrees every day, but at least half the year would be lovely.
We're planning to go back to Granada and Córdoba next spring (we went to both last fall for the first time - loved Granada, didn't have enough time in Córdoba). If we make it a two week trip then we'll probably hit Seville a third time.

A longer flight than Europe?

From the east coast and parts of the midwest, it is. It is about 8 hours, non stop, to Paris or London from my home airport (Detroit). There are no non-stop flights to Hawaii from here, and the shortest travel time I've seen has been in the 13 hour range. That's part of why Europe ends up looking better than Hawaii when I'm planning big trips, despite my desire to finish off the "seeing all the states" bucket list item.

Rome is great, and there's plenty to see there to take up a full week by itself (we did in 2019, our day trip to Pompeii was the only time we left the city).

We went on a Caribbean cruise for our 20th and absolutely loved it. Lots of time to be lazy with naps in the afternoon. We had our kids early and did zero travel without them until that trip. It was awesome.

US- some of my favorites that time of year are Nashville, New Orleans, San Francisco with Napa and Sonoma, Miami and the Keys.

Outside the US- Paris or London

I’m not a big fan of beaches unless there is a lot of other things to see and do.

And you only get 1 date night a year?? WTH? I’m sorry cause that’s terrible.

New Orleans was my first choice for U.S. Good weather that time of year and lots to see and do (and eat!).

I'd be thinking about a cruise, too.
