That's wonderful news! :woohoo: :cheer2: I hope you continue to steadily gain weight. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Great! I hope you reach your desired weight and the Drs finally find a way to help you

Wow C. Ann, that is great news. Keep up the good work

I wish the doctors would get to the bottom of all your problems, I know it must be so frustrating for you.

Hmm, maybe when you are cooking al that great food you do for your family make sure you take lots of samples along the way!! I hope you are feeling better soon.

Have you been tested for a gluten allergy?

Symptoms sound a bit like it...

Hmm.. Grip is a bit of a problem if there is no "shape" to the item.. A water bottle would be better - but sure doesn't weigh much.. LOL I'll have to look around the house and see what else there is..

Thanks for the suggestion of not jumping right in with the weights though.. :goodvibes

You could always fill the water bottle with water, or sand if the water is too light. I am going to hand therapy now because I recently had surgery and have very little strength, and that is what my therapist told me to do.

Thats great you are gaining. My ds is in the 25th percentile weight/height & has low iron (ADHD med side effects). Anyways, I was told before to feed him peanut butter and oatmeal frequently- they have iron & have good fat him them, plus pb is a protein.

Seconding this question. I have celiac disease and though you didn't say much it sounds like it might be a possibility. Feel free to PM me

Meanwhile, I'm just hoping that the weight gain continues..[/B] :thumbsup2

I lost 20 lbs during pregnancy due to my gallbladder. No problems until I got pregnant. I could not eat anything, but also had severe pain in my right abdomen around to my back. Mine went on so long I had problems with my pancreas. Definitely have it checked out, it can't hurt!! Sad to say I put all the weight back on once it was removed.

Yes - I've been tested for gluten allergies; celiac's; and a whole slew of other things that I can't recall off the top of my head.. My DD keeps thinking it could be a gallbladder problem, but she had that herself last year (and had her gallbladder taken out) but it just doesn't seem to me that I have the same kind of symptoms and issues that she did..

I see the gastro again next month and we'll see what he comes up with then.. Meanwhile, I'm just hoping that the weight gain continues..

One of my close friends had the same sort of symptoms I've read on this thread so far as well. They tested her for EVERYTHING under the sun and everything they tested her for was a no, including Celiac. HOWEVER, she now follows a gluten-free, vegetarian diet and feels much, much better. She even gained some weight back! She dropped to about 90lbs and she is 5'5"!

Glad to hear this news, C. Ann. So nice that there is an improvement in your condition. And, you're feeling stronger so that's great!!!:thumbsup2

I'm 5' 4 1/2" tall, so you can just imagine how scary I looked at 84 lbs. - and not a heck of a lot better at 90 lbs...

She lives in FL, I live in DE, but the pictures she sent were freaking me out!! She still isn't much over 105 at this point.
