I am waiting about a week or so I bet stuff will start to fall... I did get some great deals at Menards on Christmas eve... all Toys were 50% off

I found lots of Christmas stuff at Walmart, have all my paper, gift sets etc fo next Christmas all at 50% off !!Got bags at DollarTree, Boxes at Km
Mart and a Car Wash set at Target !!Perfect Father's Day gift!!It'sway to early for the saleson Winter clothes .Next month will be much better !! Hope to pick up next years winter coats , pj's etc then!

We went to Target and Walmart this morning. (I LOVE Target the day after a Holiday). I was REALLY disappointed in the "sale" at Target. The 50% of candy was still over 2.00 a bag. We did have fun at Walmart-they had lots of gift sets @ 50% of. I bought a set for myself that has wonderfully soft slippers. Then we went to the Disneystore. We were "greeted" my a CM who said "we are only taking cash or credit cards". No "hello", no "this is on sale", nothing. Didn't see anything at the DS. (I wondered why I did not see anyone walking around the mall with a Ds bag) LOL. Then to Hallmark for 50% webkinz clothes:thumbsup2 Came home and ordered BABW online as the mall store did not have what I wanted.

We've been snowed in and we're briefly able to get out today to get some coffee. I can't survive with out my coffee. I didn't see anything really remarkable at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Xmas stuff was 50% off (not including storage). 50% isn't low enough to make me impulse shop.

We did stop by our Steve and Barry's that's now being closed. What a crazy mess the store was. But they had T-Shirts 5 for $10, jean carpenter shorts for $1.50, baseball hats for $1.50 and then things were marked 50%-70% off - but the store was such a mess that it was difficult to know what was 50 and what was 70. We ended up scoring 13 shirts and 3 pairs of shorts for $28. They were also selling displays and parts to manikin's. I so wanted to buy a dismembered manikin hand that was in a thumb's up pose - only because all the parts were scaring DD and I'm a bad bad mommy:lmao: .

It looks like some of the stores have online sales going right now. But nothing really jumped out at me. I think I got better deals before christmas.

I was at the Disney Store today and nothing jumped out at me. They were having a sale but I didn't see anything that was more discounted than other sale times. I didn't pick anything up.

I got some really super soft fleece pj's @ Walmart..They were marked with the 50% off Holiday merchandise signs. Some were holiday prints some were not. I was in desperate need of new pj's and Santa forgot to bring me some :headache: so I treated myself to two pairs ($6.50) each.

Talbots was an additional 40% off of all marked down merchandise. Great prices for staples...dress pants that originally were $90 were down to $30.

Aeropostle had tees for $5 and up, hoodies and sweaters started at $12.

The mall near us (MA) was quite busy, but I didn't see bargains that I saw during back-to-school shopping in July.:confused3

We (mil, dd12 & me), went to the mall this morning. One of DD's gifts for Chanukah from mil was shopping, since she didn't have 8 nights of gifts! She wanted to go on xmas eve day..I was like...no..let's do it Friday. I felt the stores would hopefully be less crowded, and the sales would be the same or better!!

Now, I am a bargain shopper..especially for clothes..I try so hard not to buy anything full price. I usually shop for DD at Target & TCP (well before she outgrew their stuff), JC Penny's, Kohl's. We live in a very upper middle class area. Most of the kids in her school are in brand names and uggs etc.. I buy her very attractive clothing and she loves it. With the bargains I have gotten in the past she has had a HUGH wardrobe.

Now I told DD that we were going to to Aeropostale, Hollister..and those type of stores. I said, I am not sure how much you will get there..but that's what we are going to do. She was really excited. She has mentioned she didn't care if she had "brands" like the other kids..but I know she would like them.

Well we hit Lord and Taylor first..and she got a few things there. Mil used to take her there all the time. She got a really nice winter coat for 29.99!!
We went to Aeropostale and got alot there. Jeans were 19.97..hoodies..12.99, short sleeve shirts and camis were 5.00, and some shirts were 10.00. We saved 20.00 using coupons from their website. DD was really happy!!

We walked into Abercrombie...OMG..their clearance prices were absurd!! She didn't see anything she liked there so we moved on to Hollister. Tell me why this store is so DARK and LOUD??? DO they want people to stay and shop or what?? DD got the softest hoodie there and 2 other items.

While we were waiting for MIL to check out, DD says to me. Mom, I don't want to go to JCP...I didn't expect grandma to get me this much stuff and I feel like a moocher!! It was so sweet!! DD gets a lot..but she is really appreciative..and we have done our best to show her what cost what and to have an appreciation for what things cost and the value of a dollar. Well I guess it worked!! I told mil and she smiled and told DD that that's ok, we can still go to JCP.. but next time..and you say this before we go to the expensive stores!!! (she was teasing)

DH was so proud when I told him this!! JCP had lots of stuff at 60% off original prices.mWe stimulated the economy big time today..and got some great deals.

We went to sam's and steve and barry's. Our Steve and Barry's had their stuff 90% off, so we got shirts for 50 cents and the wooden hangers were 10 for a$1 but they weren't really counting them, just shoving them in the bag to get rid of them. Sams had their Christmas food and decorations about 50% and up off. I got a 3 roll of wrapping paper for $4.

I thought the sales were decent, not earths hattering though. Here's what I found

Hallmark - 40% off
Target - 50% off all holiday
Bath and Body Works - The $3 body cream, and 3/$15 signature collection had already started at the two stores I went to. All of the gift sets were 50% off.

If you were in the market for a 6' tall artificial Christmas tree, our Family Dollar was selling their decorated display tree for $10. :) There wasn't anything much we needed this year, though, besides some gift tags. We splurged on a few of the white wire prelit outdoor Christmas trees. We have a classy Christmas light display, and next year we're setting our lights to music. The trees were $60 originally, but were marked down to $15 at our local Rite Aid. We'd never pay $60 for them!

I've been disappointed in the sales this year, esp. after repeatedly reading in the paper that stores are deeply discounting and to expect incredible deals. Even the DVD's and games at Best Buy aren't really a deal. I don't have little kids to shop for anymore and I buy my 15 month old grandson only the European wooden toys from Oompa ( can't stand all that plastic). I had a triple points offer there but no discount. Hopefully everyone else did better than me! I picked up two doorway trees at Target today in heavy pots with LED lights that run on batteries for 1/2 off to match the battery operated wreath and garland I already have and some raffia ribbon as I only use butcher block paper since I found out the other kind isn't recyclable. Went with my daughter to the Ikea sale- they had some nice things but nothing I needed. Oh well...I tried to stimulate the economy!---Kathy

Macy's I heard is having deep cuts! Unfortunately I really don't need more clothes:lmao: but I will be going by there tomorrow to see about shoes!!!

They weren't in the Jr's department on name brand stuff. I had a 50 dollar gift card that gave an extra 15 percent off purchases plus a 10 dollar coupon for anything that was on sale or clearance. Anything I would of liked was full price so I came home with nothing.

nothing impressive at Disney store or mall. I did get my dog a christmas collar with bells for $1.33 at pet store in the mall 75% off

There were absolutely no sale ads in this morning's paper ( Orlando Sentinel) but rather a front page article about slow sales. Go figure.---Kathy

Michaels crafts had 70%, 60% XMAS items sale. But moving stuff off shelves for the Valentine items that were being set up already. :lmao:

Went to the outlets yesterday and it was a zoooooo!! I did splurge on a Coach purse which was clearanced and then 50% off that and then another 10% for the long line. Pottery Barn/William Sonoma was 50 % off everything in store and 75-80% off Christmas so I was able to get my dishes, hand soap, dish towels, charging stations (there is more to charge now that Christmas is over...) and great Christmas stuff all for a great deal!! The croc store at the outlet also had beach and athens crocs for $4.99. I got 6 pair for various family members!!!

I really did some stimulating yesterday!!!
