DGD's Holiday Concert is tonight and I don't think I'm going to be able to go.. :( Bad stomach issues today and bad "bathroom" issues as well.. I know it's not a bug - rather part of my ongoing medical problems - but the bathrooms are located way too far from where the concert is being held.. I can't take Immodium or anything of that nature (for other medical reasons), so that's out of the question..

I hate what this is doing to my life.. I hate being trapped in the house.. And most of all I hate the "medical merry-go-round" that I'm stuck on that consists of "hurry up and wait" - while it has such a crummy impact on the other people in my life..:(

I don't know how to tell DGD.. She's going to be soooo disappointed..:sad1:

Yeah - really feeling the "holiday spirit" today.. At this point, I wish it was just over and done with..:sad2:

Vent over..

 I'm sorry you are going thru this.

I'm very sorry. It really must suck....

Can someone video it and then DGD can come over and you can watch it together while she gives you the play-by-play.

I am so sorry that you are feeling crappy (yes, pun intended.) I have had my fair share of bad stomach days and bad bathroom days, so I feel your pain. I am still riding that "medical merry-go-round." My symptoms change every 3-6 months - so just when we think we've figured something out, we're chasing after a new symptom.

Ginger pills tend to help my nausea. And if I REALLY have somewhere I have to go, I simply don't eat for 6-8 hours before I have to leave the house. If there's nothing in my GI tract, then (in theory) there is nothing to come flying out the other end. This theory works sometimes - other times no so much.

I hope you feel better soon.

I'm not sure I'll be able to go to DS7's Winter Concert tomorrow because I'm still fighting pneumonia (finally got my meds changed). And since the school is having the concert at 9:15 a.m., DH can't make it because he has to work.

I hope you're feeling better soon, C. Ann!

Do what you can do and that's all anyone can ask for, have someone video it and enjoy later at home with everyone.

Hugs to you

If you don't mind, could you PM me with what they have ruled "in" or "out".. I've been having problems since last April and I'm ready to tear my hair out..

I understand what you're going through. Ever since I had my gallbladder taken out (almost 3 years ago) my life is revolved around "do they have a bathroom there" and I've had to plan when and what I eat so I don't have any urgent issues.
And sometimes those "issues" just show up uninvited. :rolleyes1

I used to try to be secretive about it, but a few months ago I decided heck......if I can't laugh about it then I'm in for a long stressful life. Last week at WDW I made an annoucement to the people that was with us on the trip "if at any time you don't see me, or I'm running away from you in a different direction it's because my diarrhea is kicking in and I am going to the bathroom". My SIL was a bit horrified at first but hey---life goes on.

I say go anyway and if you happen to miss part of it because you're in the bathroom so be it. You'll regret it if you don't try.
