:scared: I really don't enjoy the NYC one nearly as much as I do the OC. Even the Atlanta one was slightly - SLIGHTLY - more entertaining than NYC. I dunno, those women just don't really seem all that with it to me. :sad2:

She is what they call a "butterface"...everything looks good but her face.:lmao:

:rotfl: OMG!! That is so funny!
It's like that song by Lyle Lovett, "Ugly from the Front"

I agree. What I really liked about the O.C. was that many of the housewives are the reason they are so successful (although that also means they're really not "housewives"). Like Jeana being a successful real estate agent, Vicki owning her insurance business, (before Lauri got married) working for Vicki, etc. Of course, with some of them that wasn't the case. What I couldn't stand about Atlanta (although I still watched) was that most of them got their money from marrying a man or getting divorced from one. NYC was better than Atlanta, IMO, but I still love O.C. the best! (maybe because I envy people who live in California where it's warm! :)).

The one thing I couldn't stand the most about the NYC one was what's-her-name that was married to Simon. Their son is the biggest brat and they don't even care! They're so interested in him being the smartest kid in the world but care nothing for how he acts in public.

Neither do I but I end up watching them all anyway but OC is the original and the best of the bunch, IMHO.

I love Bethenny and Jill so I'm looking forward to them coming back. OC is my favorite, and Atlanta not so much.

Yay! I can't wait for the NYC show to be back on. I grew up not far from NYC and the way they live compared to so many people in the area is outrageous! Can't handle Alex and Simon, but I will watch anyway!

OMG! My Zune program just updated and you can download the seasons of Housewives of OC!!! Yay!!! LOL

I love this show too! Did not like the New York one at all. Liked the drama on Atlanta, but the OC is definitely the best for me.

I agree with everyone that Lynne needs to go. For all the reasons already stated. I don't miss Quinn one bit. I thought she was a bit odd, especially dating that super young bleach blonde dude. That was just strange.

I will miss Lauri - I liked her!

The one thing I do want to mention is I wish people would not judge Gretchen so harshly for taking some time for herself while Jeff was in the hospital. Until you have cared for a very sick and dying person, you certainly should not judge someone who is. It is very draining and exhausting being there day in and day out and dealing with the emotional and physical tolls caring for a dying person creates. Being a caretaker is very, very rough. Doctors and hospice workers encourage caregivers to take time for themselves. Gretchen should not have had to explain that to anyone, least of all Tamra!

ITA!:thumbsup2

That's why there is respite care for caregivers. Tamra doesn't know what she's talking about. In another episode she criticizes Jeana because she doesn't know what it is to go through a divorce. Now she is doing the same thing with Gretchen's situation. The more I watch Gretchen the more genuine she seems compared to the others. Even when she took time off, she arranged for Jeff's kids to be there and she was calling him, which visibly upset her. I wonder how she is doing now since Jeff's passing?

Am I the only one who can't stand the spelling of Tamra's name? Every time I see it, I cringe. I don't mind unique spellings either, but that one just torques me for some reason. :scared:

For me, it's Donn with the double n. WTH?

I agree to an extent. My Dad died of lung cancer, so I know how incredibly exhausting it is to care for a terminally ill patient. When my Mom needed time away, she went to play bingo for a couple of hours, or maybe shopping. She would have never gone on a vacation like that. She would have never forgiven herself if she had been out of town when my Dad died. As it is, she still carries guilt that she went to bingo!

Well I missed several episodes and I am all caught up now.........that being said, this show is new to me, I have never watched any of the "Housewives" shows before this season.

I recently moved here to the OC. I am thinking I probably have already posted this on this thread......but I have yet to meet women like this bunch anywhere here in the OC. DH & I watch this show more for the scenery from Laguna to Coto etc...the views are breath-taking. :beach:

Vicki is an over the top drama queen 24/7. If she says one more time that if something happens to Brianna she will "slit her wrists", "slash her throat"! Getting bonked with that "nerf" football....ok, drama! :headache:

Tamra, ya, I also hate the way she spells her name and showing her friends her $40,000 watch...lame. :headache:

Jeana, I actually like. (Her For Sale signs are all over my area).

Gretchen, I feel badly for as Jeff slowly slips away.:sad1: Gretchen, IMO, is so beautiful. :goodvibes

Lynne
:scared: What is UP with her? Her DD's are a p.i.t.a.! ::yes::
The bratty one calling 24/7 her parents cells reminding them of her birthday and the NEED for a BMW. The tantrum over what dress she will wear to her party and the other sis, who actually is adorable looked like a stripper (as she said herself) with that dress of Lynne's that she wore to the party. She is too tall to wear that short of dress! :sad2: I think Lynne is trying to hard to fit in. Going to dinner at "Javier's" (which is right up the street from me) she made herself look like an idiot saying "CUT, no discussing children"! Oh, and did she tell Gretchen at lunch at the South Coast Plaza Mall that she got married at age 12 OR was that a joke??? :scared1:

I was shocked when Lynne said "CUT" with her arms up- she says it about three times, the third time was really quick. I don't see her sticking around for another season if they do it. Plus, Raquel- wow! What a tantrum-thrower. Reminds me of my 2yo.

It was a joke. She had told Gretchen that she has been married for 18 years. Lynne wants her to believe that she is 30. Now that's the real joke.:lmao:

I thought it was funny that they named that episode "cut!".

What about when Raquel wanted to wear the white dress her sister was wearing then had a hissy fit about it! She was pouting about it-almost crying. Then a few minutes later, Raquel was wearing the white dress.

You know whats sad about Raquel? She does not appear to have any self-esteem/confidence in herself. I would be so embarrassed if I was on national television throwing a hissy fit at 18-yrs-old.

I am caught up. I'm caught up up up up up.

I have too much to say about this show, which makes me question myself.:rotfl:

I

AGREED. I wanted to add (not sure this was posted, but I'm sure it was) that Gretchen went to vacation with her FAMILY and flew Jeff's CHILDREN in to be with him! It's not like she called 1-800-RENT-A-NURSE and flew off to Dubai.
Tamra's whole attitude about it is awful. I can't believe she'd say something like that to someone!

Lynne is....odd. I don't like her on the show. She doesn't look good. And that 'stripper' dress was hers? Oh, and her younger dd got called a stripper by her own boyfriend? The one who looks like he's straight out of juvie? Eww.

The show was hilarious. Seeing Vicky get hit in the head was tooo funny. But what was up w/Geanna bringing whats-his-face to Havasu? Staged drama!!!

STILL could care less about those stupid kids of Lynn's. Please. And that girl DID look like a hooker so her little boyfriend was right. But she shouldn't have caved to her bratty older sister either because she looked way better in the white dress. SOMEONE PLEASE GET THEM OFF THE SHOW!
