2027 Disney Summer Cruises

We will be September cruisers for the foreseeable future... If a good discount comes up we might do a Merrytime... but Summer is just too expensive for us...

Thats not correct on flights. The flight cost during our summer is much cheaper cos american airlines have seasonal direct flights during this period.

Its during our winter when australians want to go enjoy the national parks in the states and Canada that the prices go crazy high.

My next trip to florida will be in december in part cos I can get cheaper flights then. June/july is way too expensive.

I would of thought its hard to get to the Baltics for Americans. Multiple flights Im guessing. Although I could be wrong.

I just priced out tickets from my state to Sydney. RT in July is 1600 and December break is 3900 RT. Keep in mind kids in the states only have 2 weeks off in the Winter and prices are high to everywhere you want to go. Maybe prices are cheaper as you go into February and earlier in December.

It's very easy to get anywhere in Europe. If you can't get there direct there is a huge amount of flights to LHR and from there you can fly anywhere. Most major airlines offer flights to CPH which is where the Baltic cruises depart from. The last time we departed from CPH we flew to LHR spent the night and then jumped on SAS to CPH. It's about 90 minute flight from LHR. This Summer I'm flying non-stop to FCO on AA and then taking a 90 minute flight to Istanbul on Turkish Air.

Not for Americans it isn't.

Both of my cruises have been out of the Med. First one was Adriatic in the month of July second was western in the month of March and April though the route is mostly similar with certain ports here and there altered throughout the season. Not one American was going to there for the beaches. The beaches are very rocky filled not sand filled by in large, you have to go to specific destinations within Europe for the beaches and most cruises are not hitting those. Boring is subjective, but in warm climates in the U.S. the beaches here are mostly sand beaches. I would never travel 8+hours (from the coast that doesn't include the flight to get to the coast) to Europe to go sit on a beach, it's not a good usage of my money and time even if I went to the Canary Islands or the Azores I would do a lot of historical site seeing with beach time mixed in. But it is to see historical sites and that is the travel patterns for Americans, the excursions don't lie either in numbers based on nationality.

If they want a beach they will normally go to somewhere closer, consider the Azores and Canary islands and south of France being akin to the Caribbean area in terms of proximity. We go the Caribbean if we want beaches outside the U.S. we do not go to Europe to do that, summer or otherwise.

If you want to see historical sites then cruising the med is the wrong way to do it.

Land trips are best for historical sites.

Truthfully you don't sound very knowledgeable about the U.S. nor travelers from there.

Two weeks at xmas and new years are obviously busy everywhere. But outside that its pretty good despite it being vacation period here due to seasonal flights.

If you have a cheap flight in july you havd done well. Sydney is probably a bit cheaper in july as less seasonal variability in flight options then other australian states.

I'd love to do a fall cruise at some point but then for Canada split between wanting a bucket list Arctic Circle cruise that would also potentially touch on some of the same ports as a fall centric one depending on the length of the cruise and time of year

Yup. They say 8 AM, but I remember them Panama Canal being open available to book at like 7:05 AM eastern

I was just pointing out why families may not want to go to Australia for a Disney cruise. Regardless of the cost kids are in school.
