Well… I’m glad I wasn’t super attached to running, because I never got through and eventually closed the one window I had open to get to an appointment. I definitely feel like this is an attempt to weed out rD “regulars” who do a lot of races, but aren’t influencers. Is it at all possible the coding can identify IP addresses and sort of throttle ones that have been used in the past a lot?

I’m trying to take it with grace and accept that my kind (frequent runners, low spenders) just aren’t desirable anymore… but I’m not feeling very gracious about it TBH. I feel like we need a better group plan for MW…

It doesn't seem to be IP based - all of my browsers came up with a different wait time (eventually) ... but who knows?

If anyone else wants to purchase the event party that wasn't listed when registering for races, I found it by going back into runDisney and was able to just click the button to purchase there.

Thanks for this, was able to go in and get one for my husband!

Agreed - I just do not understand why they keep messing with what works(ish)! I’ve never missed registering through Active more.

For those of us that got in what browser did you get in with? Mine was safari.

Internet explorer was my successful one. Chrome, Firefox and safari were all over an hour still when things sold out.

Managed to get four half registrations. Really wanted two of them to be the challenge, oh well. Just reinstalled telegram.

Curious, if I manage to get a charity bib for the challenge, how does RD handle my current bib? I know in the past I have been able to upgrade to a challenge when it became available, wasn't sure about the charity route.

Every registration I’ve done has been from my work laptop because it’s an office day and it only has Edge. Was hoping for 2 things today. #1 was that my wife gives the green light to buy a bib for the 10k even though we aren’t “going” this year because of a family wedding 2 weeks before. I was willing to take one for the team and do the race and the trip solo. #2 was getting a bib for the 10k. Well neither happened so sit this one out we will. Until next month……

Checking the commentary on social media, always fun after these days, and it sounds like t-shirt selection is still causing an issue here and there. Good news is that I don't think it impacted anyone here but just something to keep in mind.

Got in for the challenge, but somehow in the race to complete 4 registrations, my waiver is not connected to the correct email. Already have a ticket with runDisney. Not sure if it was a typing error or just the site being DisneyIT. Still doesn't beat 2022 when I went to print out my waiver before they introduced the check-in pass and all of my registration info switched to being that of my emergency contact's.

There’s no way I’m going to spend $1000 just so I have the opportunity to spend another $1000. And then add hotels and food to that. My local run club has annual dues of $40, and with that you get free admission to 9 of their 5k and 10ks, and reduced rates for their halves and a BQ-eligible full marathon. The cost for the half is $50, and the full is $70. There are also actual age group awards.

Also maybe I shouldn't be surprised about this but a LOT of people still think it's first come first serve for jumping in the queue. Complaining that they were in there before 9 am and baffled that they didn't get their races... you don't have to do all that! Just join a few min prior to 10! Then pray.
