2026 MMB info Announced

They certainly enhanced the WDW tickets and didn’t raise the cost to trade for an AP.

Now, we need to see what discount those tickets come with but IIRC, last years wasn’t anyting to write home about. Maybe some dates went as high as 10%? But not all.

DL tickets had decent values. Things definitely come and go and my Venture X benefits for airport lounges are changing next year and guests and even my associates will now be hit with a fee, unless I hit a certain threshold.

Things do change but the $99 fee remaining the same is something I expected to go up, even a small amount.

I was pretty sure it would go up also. Nice surprise!

Sorry about the Venture X. On the Chase cards side I was busy moving ultimate rewards to my Chase Sapphire card to keep my 1.25 benefit! The games they make us play!

As for tickets, I was floored when we bought tickets for my grands Easter 2024, the 3-9 age group at the time. So anything lower looks good to me.

And, I may just use points to get the next annual pass! I have one now and have a couple of tickets in reserve, but if I can do that annual pass (buy in 2026 and activate in 2027), it will help when I'm paying for our family trips as I can assign old tickets and buy MMB tickets. Just juggling my dollars!

Add me to the list of surprised it didn’t go up. We are Disney heavy this year and will be purchasing it- mainly for the photos but will probably use the lounge access at DL. Although I hear ya on the fairness of that perk. My 7months is late December. I’m debating if I should hold back a day on it to take advantage of the OTUP and then combine them. Would that make it a split stay and mess up ADRs? Oh wait. Maybe as long as I buy before 12/20 I can still buy the points when booking?

I need to run the numbers on the tickets when the prices come out. If it works for us. We will go Thursday-Saturday with park day Friday, water park Saturday, resort Sunday and then the other four days. If not- we will just go Sat-Sat with a resort day in the middle and no water park day. So there needs to be somewhat significant savings to justify adding two days onto the trip. So we’ll see.

It's good to see the price didn't increase. I got full use out of it in 2025, but I think the only benefit I'd use for 2026 in the OTU points & priority access to the lounge at Disneyland.

Still a savings, but not as good as when I had several WDW trips planned... definitely have time to think it over.
TBH, you don't need the priority access to the DL lounge. We never had any problems getting in with the standard membership. I had the MMB, but would alway meet up with the family in the lounge. There is much lower demand for the lounge at DL.

We used the DL tickets and BOGO this year, but don't have any trips planned except for Aulani in April. Not worth getting it for 2026 for an 8x10 picture. If we needed to use the other benefits, we would get it again.

Awesome, this might be the only price that didn't go up at WDW for 2026.

I will buy for the OTUP. Everything else is gravy.
I had been debating a small contract and then told myself 'no'.

Along came the one time use points with MMB. I'm a 2042 girl with all direct contracts.

My basic math is telling me that one time use points are quite a bit cheaper than a 25 point contract (which is all I need). Everything goes up but I have such a few years left before my contracts expire, plus my actual age will eventually make driving down to Florida 2-4 times per year a stretch. No need for another contract so long as there are one time use points! And MMB one time use - not guaranteed but a nice plus right this moment.

Hi Disfriends!
I'm curious to hear from folks who purchased MMB for 2025...what was the "user experience" like? Did you feel it paid for itself or did you feel like there was enough value to purchase this again for 2026? I'm trying to figure out if there is enough value for me. DH and I are APs and I have memory maker attached to my AP. Our kids have APs too, so I don't think we'd ever use the park tickets perks. The OTU points are intriguing tho, as I purchase OTU points almost every year to "top off" a reservation.

buying OTUP BOGO is basically like just paying maintenance on the points, it would be like if you inherited 24 points and only owe maintenance on them. great deal if you need them!

Eventually I'm sure DVC will raise the price of OTUPs and may raise the price of MMB and/or remove this benefit altogether, so you're right it's not guaranteed - but for now it is a great deal.

I got it knowing I would use Memory Maker and break even. I ended up buying OTUP too. I like the priority lounge access and we did the exclusive character meet at Epcot and LOVED it!

For International Members:

Interesting change in language with a newly updated MEADS document, effective September 30th:
- Previously, the terms for Membership Magic Beyond said "Only the record owners of an Ownership Interest currently eligible for Membership Extras, who are age 18 years or older and are U.S. residents, qualify for the Optional Benefit Program."
-
Now the new document states: "Only the record owners of an Ownership Interest currently eligible for Membership Extras, who are age 18 years or older, qualify for the Optional Benefit Program. Other restrictions may apply."

Might be worth a call on December 9th and see if you can now qualify and register as an International Member??
FOMO triggered x2

I do understand. I'll still be purchasing.

My Chase card 'used to' get me in Food & Wine concerts with a wrist band you could get morning off. They also 'used to' have the Chase lounge where with your Chase card you could go and relax, charge your phone, enjoy a clean bathroom and get complimentary drinks.

My Amex card 'used to'........ I won't go on but there are a whole host of 'used to's' that I remember that aren't coming back.

This year I used the benefits and got my money's worth for $99.
Next year I will use it again. I'll need tickets and they will be better than what I can get without MMB.

I'm a long time owner - bought in 2000.

I wish things could stay the same. But there are a lot of things I don't want to stay the same.

Anything that is free will probably eventually change. Not just at Disney.
Well, I guess since you are OK with all the changes, Disney should go back to charging for parking as well, things like that...

I get that things change. In fact, we have been big DVC fans since we joined in 2007, however, like you said, it's getting to be a different program, and quite honestly, this past year, we've seriously considered downsizing our points. To run with the credit card example, we 'used to' be able to use our Disney Visa to earn Reward Dollars that we could pay monthly on our annual dues and it worked great. Well, they made that much more difficult this past year, but instead of just saying "oh well" and keeping that card, we just got rid of it and got a different card that had a rewards scheme we valued more.

We 'used to' have annual passes and go to WDW at least 3-4 times a year (we are an 8ish hour drive). We gave those up when they stopped selling them during the pandemic and haven't bought them since. This past year we made it down twice, both times in Cabins where we spent more time just enjoying FW, which I love, BTW. In the past year though, I've spent exactly 2 days in a Disney park. It's about value, and we all value things differently (what economists call Marginal Utility). For us, the things they've added haven't had much value, but the things are are changing or gone did. That may be very different for someone else.

Maybe part of it is as we age, priorities change, but we had a real eye opener when pricing out a weeklong Viking River cruise with included airfare and included excursions is cheaper than driving down to Port Canaveral and spending a week on the Treasure (I know, not DVC, but you get the picture...). Maybe it was the pandemic and following years where we used our points to go to Aulani rather than WDW, maybe it's that our DD has graduated college, but times change and so do people. I 'used to' be one of DVC's biggest fans, but I am falling off the bandwagon more and more each day...

And that's actually OK, because this is just specific to us, and not everyone. I can see where people can enjoy the current iteration of DVC, etc., and by all means, enjoy the heck out of it. But for us, the shine has faded a bit, and it does make us a bit sad. We still love Aulani and CFW, so there's that...

I’m in. Been constantly debating whether to buy 2025 even though I would only use it for the OTUPs. I think this is enough for me to hold out and wait for 2026. The OTUPs, to me, is where I see the most value. Also a good chance I’ll exchange points for a Disney cruise so the waived exchange fee is great. Haven’t added memory maker to any of our APs, so that will be nice. Excited about the Epcot character meet and greet - I think Mickey and Minnie is better than the Zootopia characters (I think that’s what it was?).

On the priority lounge access, I can see where others are coming from on essentially turning the lounges into a paid benefit. I’ll add my data point of one and say that, I’m not sure I’d even visit a lounge without this benefit. Now, I’m like, ok, well I guess I better take advantage of jumping the line and at least try them out. That said, as long as I’m there with my 2 boys, I doubt we’ll be there long since sitting and relaxing is not something they are very inclined to do 🙂.

Hmmm….

Weekday only…. If we fly in on Saturday then how important is going into the parks that Sunday….. what is the extra cost compared to a 6-day Unlocked Magic ticket…. will be interesting to see…. (WDW)

Looked up the math for my summer '26 trip based on last year's discount prices for that week, and buying one-day Sunday tickets as an add-on negates any value unfortunately. It's cheaper to buy a 7-day park hopper plus than the 5-day weekday MMB park hopper + 1-day park-specific single day ticket at AK, the cheapest single-day park option.

I bought it strictly for the OTUP. The Memory Maker was a nice bonus, but I would not have bought that otherwise, so I'm not sure how I'd value it.

I have yet to set foot in a DVC lounge and I'm not sure I ever will. But that's largely because I tend to take the Parks in smaller doses. When I need to recharge, I do that at the resort.

Yes it was Nick and Judy. I really like that they are changing up the characters. If they change them every year to me that adds even more value to the experience. Mickey and Minnies new travel outfits are 🔥

Definitely thought is was worth it and will be buying again for 2026.

We traded in points for APs, and did buy the OTU points too…which I put toward it, and then used my own points for something else!!

The EPCOT meet and greet is in the EPCOT lounge when it's open for MMB-only, which I think is 6:30-8:30 PM every day, but I'm not sure of the exact hours.

Things ebb and flow, for sure. I held season tickets for Michigan football for just about 25 years, but let them go this year. Part of that was a consequence of the divorce and making some spending decisions. Part of it is that my kids are both far enough away that they don't come back for a game but once in a blue moon. Part of it is that realignment killed my "home" conference---you can stand inside my alma mater's stadium and see the Pacific Ocean, yet somehow they are in the Atlantic Coast Conference. And part of it is that I'm just tired of sitting on 13" of bench for three and a half hours, most of which is dead time so that television can play commercials.

Interestingly enough, my relationship with Disney P&R has done the opposite. I'm not entirely sure why, and it is worth being curious about that I suppose.
