2026 Alaska sailing during the World Cup

Not how the World Cup works. If you are a support of team H1 you will be in Miami for a few days, go to Atlanta for a few days and finish in Houston before potentially round of 32 match in LA, 16 in Dallas, quarter LA, semi back in Dallas and finally finish your tour of American in the very best state. New Jersey.

I did check around the various hosts for the same dates and Vancouver is amongst the most ridiculous. Toronto seems fairly summer normal.
......but if you only have time to take one trip to the WC and you happen to get Vancouver tickets, you will want to make the trip worthwhile and stay a few days.....(though the cost conscious might hightail it out haha)

That is just not how the World Cup works. There are 3 groups of tickets. Block A is for supporters of Team A, Block B is for supporters of Team B, Block C is for everyone else. For United, the everyone else is going to overwhelmingly be made up of locals - why Kansas City with far fewer hotel rooms and a less connected airport got picked over Denver. Supporters that will make up the vast majority of the traveling fans at any given match buy packages of tickets for their team.

I work blocks away from BC Place and I dreading it. I was also here for the 2010 Olympics but I think this will be worse mostly because in 2010 there was a lot of planning put into how the city would manage things like hotels, transportation etc and those conversations went on for years. No one is talking about it here right now.

This is one time when it may be better to book a hotel through Disney. I would hope that they have a block of rooms.

If all you are looking for is a room the night before the cruise and you don’t want to do tourist things in Vancouver there are some options. The skytrain goes out to Coquitlam.
