Never happened, W and D has always been post Halloween, at least that I’m aware of. I’ve been wondering all along why Disney would want the race crowd at the same time as the Halloween crowds but I guess there’s always crowds so to them it doesn’t matter. It appears The Post-Race Party and MNSSHP will both be held on Sunday the 26th. Has this occurred in the past? Has it affected the crowds?

It will be interesting to see if the after party attendance is affected, or more specifically the ticket sales.
If I were spending on an event I would always choose MNSSHP over the post race party. Not even a choice really.
The first time I ran Wine and Dine in 2011 it was held October 1. I think in the years that followed it shifted to early November.
Wow. This in interesting. I’m not a fan of nighttime runs, though not a huge fan of getting up at 3 in the morning either. Not that I’m doing the half marathon anyway; just the 5k. But I have wondered why the party was so much later than the race.
Our kid’s school used to do a neighborhood nighttime 5k. I always worked the after party so I couldn’t run it but it was a fun race that the whole neighborhood embraced. Still can’t wait for this weekend.
I'm so sad I missed this! The nighttime races had a completely different vibe. First of all, there was no 10k race. The 5k was held the same day as the half marathon, but at 7 a.m. in Animal Kingdom. And it cost $50! The half started at 10 p.m., and being Wine and Dine, a lot of the runners were already in a party mood. The race finished at Epcot to begin the post-race party, and depending on your time, that’s how much time you had in the park. Also you got a free beer at the finish line!
I was at Poly last year after the race and there were signs out saying the monorail would not be running at the end of the afterparty. I was so tired I came back early from the party though, so I was able to ride itI’m staying at the Poly for W&D with two friends (DVC longhouse studio), can you walk to TTC to pick up the monorail to get to the half on Sunday or do you have to go to the Grand Ceremonial House? Also, does the monorail run through to the end of the afterparty or is it busses to get back once it’s over?
Any other tips & tricks for a rD weekend at the Poly would be much appreciated, I’m a RunDisney vet but this will be my first race weekend at the Polynesian
Thank you!!
Q2: which weekday is traditionally the lightest for Epcot F&W fest?
Can't speak to all, but I was there last year on the Monday after race weekend (Nov4) and it was not as much of a mob scene as it was over the weekend. I actually ordered food on Monday, whereas the weekend--and the lines--I just couldn't take.
Plus the after party mix in will be happening around the same time non party guests would be hopping from magicI'm only going to Epcot Sunday the 26th, so I assume it'll be insane between Food and Wine and day guests potentially hopping from MK to Epcot because there's a MNSSHP that night.
The 2025/2026 season was announced on January 7, 2025, so maybe around the beginning of January 2026 for next season? But you never know with runDisneyPlease can I ask (and feel free to direct me to another thread if already discussed) when you think the 2026 Wine and Dine dates may be released by Disney? I had a Princess 10k bib in 2021 but Disney cancelled it. This will be my first opportunity since then for a solo trip and 10k run (travelling from England).

That's a bummer. I would be staying onsite for 9 nights, and the UK free dining offer ends on 7th November 2025 for 2026 arrivals, so I would miss that offer. That would work well for me taking advantage of 2026 Disney resort offers from the UKThe dates for 2025 were announced late October 2024, so likely/hopefully around then.
