I have been told the same thing….entering before 11 am doesn’t benefit someone. It’s better to join right at 11 am or shortly thereafter because they put you in random order.

Meaning all those before 11 are not necessary the first ones in line. It certainly explains why things can happen like discussed.

I understand why joining right at 11 shouldn't make a difference. But the reports are that people who joined at 11:05, 11:10, etc, beat those of us who joined at or before 11. That's the part that makes no sense. After 11 per their explanation is supposed to be numerical order based on when you joined.

One observation about this. When you click on the link, it generates a unique queue ID for that session. The queue ID is apparently retained (browser cookies?) even when you close the browser and later re-open.

If there's a scenario where someone opened the link before 11am on registration day...closed their browser...and then later reopened the queue page after 11am, they are likely re-connecting to the same queue ID. This queue ID would have been assigned a spot in line with everyone else at 11am.

If someone opened the link for the very first time after 11am, and still received a favorable queue position, I have no explanation.

But if they opened anytime before 11am, closed browser, and then reopened after 11am, it's not inconceivable to get a favorable spot in line.

I had 3 device, one got over an hour, one got 45 mins and one got 20 mins. I dropped the long wait ones.

Obviously, I am just reporting what I was told and we know it isn’t always right, but if you join before 11 am, your random number is not always before someone who joins later…meaning spots are left that now get filled in that order

For example, say 1000 people join earlier…they don’t automatically randomly get 1 to 1000…they get some random number that could be higher than that.

It was explained it was to account for people who jump in line earlier to give them no advantage at all…and in some cases, could be a disadvantage.

Not saying it makes a whole lot of sense, but YMMv.

The DVC Member and all their guest have to enter together. The guests do not need to be DVC members.

My time jumped from 25 back to 43 minutes. Not loving that!

If you have more than one queue with low(er) wait times, hold them all and once you have your tix you can share the link with others. Don't drop any!

This has been an unpleasant adventure. Had one device logged in before 11. Tried two others right at 11. One went through and joined the pre-11 device at more than an hour. Third device got stuck at a constant refreshing page before allowing the membership number to be added but went through and gave me a wait time of 19 minutes! Now that one has continued to increase (24 mins, now 36 mins). Sigh.

Expect registration is taking longer than expected extending queue times? (Or did someone find a side door?)

Whoooo managed to get into general registration for moonlight magic at HS! 2 of mine were over an hour but the third started with only a 3 minute wait

I noticed they stopped showing the number of people in front of you and now it's just time remaining

Yep it happened Wednesday during early registration.
