I've got "Bridezilla" on in the background while I'm DISing and as usual, it's cracking me up.. Some of these brides are sooooooo far over the top!
So just for fun - let's say you had your "perfect" wedding planned and something happened where you had to cut your costs
dramatically.. What and where would you cut?
Your rings?
Your dress?
Number of attendants?
Invitations?
Number of guests?
Flowers?
Photographer?
Venue?
Food?
Beverages?
Music?
Rings would be hard to cut back on because my uncle is a jeweler and would get us a good deal. Wouldn;t be able to get any cheaper, he might actually make my wedding band.
Dress? Maybe, I kinda like the idea of wearing my mom's dress though, so wouldn't get much cheaper than that.
I don't think I could cut back on attendants, but I only plan on having 4 girls. Besides, don't they usually have to buy their own dresses and things? That doesn't really effect your bottom line.
Invitations definitely, number of guests only if they hadn't been invited yet. I could never "uninvite" someone. Flowers would also be a cut back for me, I really don't care much for flowers. Besides, the place I want to get married in is already very pretty, it doesn't need much decoration.
Photographer, no way. I want professional photos done that look nice. I might cut back on the package I get, but I want a photographer.
Venue I would compromise on, drinks also. Food absolutely not. People remember the food at a wedding, I don't want people going home saying "She had such terrible food, I couldn't eat a thing". Music is also uncuttable. I want my guests to have a good time.
All in all, it looks like I'm screwed if I ever need to cut back the cost of my wedding. There wouldn't be much room for me to budge if I needed to.
