2022 MNSSHP dates?

We had tickets to the 8/24/21 Boo Bash that was canceled due to weather. People who chose to wait in line at City Hall that night were given the option of a full refund or a credit towards another party. I heard rumors that the credit could also be used towards a regular park ticket. If I go into MDE on my phone app it shows I have a Boo Bash ticket that expires on 8/24/22. If I go into tickets in MDE on my laptop I see nothing.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has had or has a Boo Bash credit and has used it or has any knowledge of how to use it and/or if it can be used instead for a regular park ticket?

Many thanks in advance!!

i have this same issue. I see the Boo Bash ticket from 8/24/21 but cannot make a park reservation with it. I have a feeling we will need to call Disney.

You will need to use the value of the Boo Bash ticket to purchase a day ticket (if that is what you want to purchase). If MDE doesn't give you the option to do that in the app, you will need to call Disney.

Disney's Very Merriest was an after hours party - in fact, it was called Disney Very Merriest After Hours and it was far and away better than Boo Bash. It included free snacks/beverages, a full parade and a huge stage show. Given the current circumstances with full parades and fireworks back plus character meet and greets, I say there is no way they bring Boo Bash back in last year's format. They showed with Very Merriest, they can offer so much more for the incredibly hefty price they are charging. Did you attend either Boo Bash or Very Merriest After Hours? Doesn't sound like it. We attended both and have also done the after-hours events, MNSSHP and MVMCP multiple times. Boo Bash was the only time we walked away thinking we got very, little value for our ticket price and we won't do it again if they continue with the 2021 format.

I went to Boo Bash After Hours, because After Hours was in the name as well, I went in expecting it to be an after hours event because that’s what it was. I was not disappointed in it at all. As I stated I enjoy both MNSSHP and enjoyed Boo Bash last year because I didn’t have party expectations that they would be the same. I also said if you went with those expectations then you would’ve been disappointed, it’s all on how you think of it. Would I do Boo Bash again, absolutely, would I do MNSSHP again, absolutely. I’ve also done regular after hours events and would do them again, why because I know what to expect and how to make the most of it. I’m sorry you didn’t have a good time, based on your comment it sounds like you did exactly what I said and expected it to be MNSSHP.

I hope they bring back MNSSHP but I don’t know if we will rule out AHBB! It was very tiresome trying to stay out late with the kiddos. We love having an earlier park option and leaving before the kids catch the sleepy bug.

Thank you so much. This information is helpful!

But is it a halloween event without the Headless Horseman leading the parade?

Here is an excerpt from another trusted WDW blog:

We view the odds as about 75-25 that Walt Disney World will opt to hold the 2022 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, while also bringing back Disney Villains After Hours for early in the year and summer and letting Disney After Hours Boo Bash glow away into Walt Disney World history.

Looking forward to next year, our prediction is that Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will return in mid-August 2022 and continue several nights per week until October 31, 2022. Last year, dates would’ve been August 13, 18, 21, 25 and 28; September 1, 4, 7, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27 and 29; October 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31; November 1.
Prices will likely range from $100 to $175 depending upon the date; tickets have skyrocketed in the last several years.

and Disney's Very Merriest was AFTER the boo bash. it makes sense that an event that came after the 1st one since reopening would have more things just like it makes sense that as time goes on more and more things are coming back.

They sold out Boo Bash without having those elements so I don’t see them bringing them back without a substantial price increase.

They sold it out, but they also refunded a lot. It was right when Delta came out. I ended up canceling half of what I booked, and they were selling tickets day of for many of the earlier dates.

I'd take Boo Bash in a second over a normal day ticket. As an AP, this is maybe a harder decision.

I think some kind of hard ticket party for Spring or Summer is a no-brainer. I'm surprised they haven't announced it already, unless they really don't have the staff to pull it off.

The main issue with boo bash was it completely excludes families with small children. They need a family event . They can still do an after hours even in the summer like they did with villain after hours

Well, we booked Universal for Halloween Horror Nights - hotels, event tickets, and private tours. While HHN is NOT family friendly - I'm surprised Disney hasn't announced something to keep up with Universal. We would love to do both, but right now it looks like Universal is the only Halloween game in town. I'm sure that won't last long though, right?

Um, yeah, I get it. The point is, what they offered at Boo Bash was not worth the ticket price to us. Glad some people enjoyed it. We did not. As I stated originally, given all that has been brought back at this point - parades, character meet and greets, fireworks - there is no way, IMHO, that WDW will offer Boo Bash, in its 2021 form, in 2022.

I agree with this.

I'm wondering about tickets too. I bought a ticket to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights on October 12th. I'm hoping to get a Boo Bash ticket for Tuesday, October 11th. I will be in Orlando for business October 10 to 13. I'm concerned I won't be able to get a MNSSHP/Boo Bash ticket since I do not have a resort/park reservation. Last year tickets went on sale in June.
