2022 Halloween Predictions?

Twice the price??? Yikes. I went in 2010 and it was our FAVORITE trip to date. The MNSCHP and parade were the highlight of the trip, but I remember it being pricey then... wow.
They were being a bit sarcastic. It will definitely cost a little more than last year. Especially if it’s back to the full party. But double the price is probably wrong.

On Wednesday, April 27, Disney Parks will host a watch party on Twitter of a fan-favorite Halloween film (“Hocus Pocus” based on the Disney Parks Blog video). This will begin at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT.

Halloween-inspired digital wallpaper art will be available on Wednesday, too.

On Thursday, Disney Parks will share Halloween announcements. There will also be a first-of-its-kind TikTok Live beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT. It will be the first time they are live from multiple Disney Parks locations and Disney Cruise Line.

I would bet anyone on here $50 that we get MNSSHP this year. Last year, there were just too many variables. International travel restrictions. New variants. Mask mandates. Still doing social distancing to a degree. A lot of that means no character meets, no parades, no forte works... you know... a Halloween Party lol. And these things take MONTHS to plan. So Disney played it safe and did the scaled down Boo Bash. I think that in the most critical planning/decision months of Jan-March for Halloween this year, Disney had a pretty optimistic situation to work with. That's why I'd bet money that MNSSHP (or some similar experience) returns this year.

I agree with you

I wonder if Disney will bring back other entertainment like the Return to Sleepy Hollow event. The construction has been completed at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, Fort Wilderness for a few years now.

For those who don't know what that's all about go here.

Speaking of Wilderness, here's Wilderness Lodge meets The Shinning...

Those hallways have always creeped me out!

From things I'm hearing on different sites it sounds most likely it’s going to be the return of Boo Bash after hours with the normal party entertainment. Higher price point and as with all after hours less time. Halloween party was 5 hours and I don’t see after hours offering any more than 4 hours max exclusive time.

Disney doesn't want to shorten park hours for regular guests

I’d bet anyone we’re getting a hybrid. Most of the features of MNSSHP, but at the Boo Bash (or higher) price point. Not sure about the start time.

So Disney doesn’t care about young children being able to attend then. Bummer. I am old enough to remember when Disney was a family-friendly park.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I don’t see why Disney wouldn’t want to shorten the park hours for regular guests when they can then get a second charge for the party itself. It doesn’t make sense to turn down the ability to charge someone 110 base ticket(hypothetically) for a shorter day and then also get a premium added on in the same day.

I thought that was the whole point of the holiday parties.

MNSSHP started at 7 p.m. and ended at midnight. However, you could enter MK at 4 p.m. with your party ticket or 2 p.m. for DVC member.

So if you entered at 4pm, vast majority did, that's 8 hours. By entering early it allowed you to; pick up Sorcerer card (no longer available), go on a ride (provided the line was short or if you booked a FP) and then you had time to get in line for a M&G.

I actually helped many plan their MNSSHP itineraries back in 2017 & 2018. I'm looking forward to hearing the Halloween announcements on Thursday, April 28th from Disney Parks. Enough of the rumor mills, UO has had their game on since March for Halloween Horror Nights.

Prediction - whatever Oct 31st's price was last year, add $100 to it.
Tickets for MNSSHP October 31, 2019 was $135 for adults and $130 for children. Link
Boo Bash After Hours event October 31, 2021 was $199. Link

To add $100 to a limited Halloween party or an event would be, well, hard for so many people.

As much as I wanna see MNSSHP return, the one thing that hurts its chance of a return is the continuation of the 50th celebration. I could see Disney using that as an excuse to do the short Boo Bash again. But I’m still betting on, and routing for, MNSSHP.

I'm not sure Disney has cared much since Covid start about that last line...
