2022 Bookings Now Open

I ended up booking a 15 night reservation with one night deposit and will change either the checkin or checkout date as soon as I know definitively.

I had started to do that, but was not sure about what changes in Disney cancellation policies might affect that. I know for some time folks were not being allowed to change the dates, you had to cancel and rebook with the correct dates. Haven't heard anything different as of late.

We are booked for our first stay at The Fort (since childhood) in Jan 2022!! :dogdance: I called to try to book a golf cart rental but rentals aren’t open yet. Any suggestions on how to find out when they will open?

Best option I could think would be to suggest calling back about every 2 weeks or so and if not open yet just ask if they have heard of possible opening date.

I would go in April. Kids won't miss school and the week after Easter is generally much better than the week leading into the Easter Weekend. (I've been the week before Easter twice. Never again.) March is Spring Break for colleges and many other schools, which is probably why those tickets cost more.

I hope you get the 100 loop. It's my favorite.

^^ Ditto this ^^

Could not book a cabin or a campsite for Halloween.

The 500 day booking window only extends to July 1, 2022 arrivals as of today's date. So you have 3-4 months more to wait till you can book. And you better book on that 500th day about 5am or whenever the system accepts new reservations for the that arrival day.

We are going to book for 2022 as well. I am not sure if we will do April or May- the kids want to make sure we can swim and the last March visit, we dropped into the 40/50s for most of the trip.

I see the new “pick your camper” options... I hope our hybrid still counts as a Popup.

In our Weather thread on the Camping Community Board, rideswithchrist, there is a picture of your barefoot kids playing in the Texas snow (and a boy has no shirt on) - you win the Cool Mom of the Year award already in February, btw. Clearly the cold weather is not a factor for them having outside fun. :rolleyes1

Actually the May rates are a little better than April's and the weather is one month warmer so if you can swing a May trip, it is nice. And maybe the hot tubs at the pool will be open by May 2022. But if you go after Memorial day, you start to tickle those summer June daily showers in the afternoon.

Even though the pools claim to be heated, getting out into 40/50F air is still not pleasant on your past March trip. I vote for May.

Well looks like we are decided on March so I booked March 11th to 20th. Gonna go ahead and get my tickets and park reservations today. My oldest is a figure skater and they have their spring show the last weekend of April and she refuses to miss that so that ruled out the spring break trip, she said she'd rather miss school and make up the work lol.

@tiggerdad I'll keep an eye out for what dates you end up with, we might be there at the same time, we could say hey!

And I'll let you know if we bring our dog so your kids can meet him if they want, he's a 120 pound great pyrenees who is sweet as can be and thinks he's a lap dog :rotfl2:

If we end up with opposite weeks, we could consider renting a golf cart offsite from tee time and switching off with each other, so only one of us has to do a pickup and the other the drop off.....

120# ?

I'll bring my bigger chair.

Slow day at work and I was bored so I went ahead and got my park tickets and booked all my park reservations. Had to call to purchase the tickets, I wanted to pay with gift cards that I had from refunds from our aborted trip last March and apparently you can only put in one gift card online, even the CM on the phone had to do it in 3 separate transactions for the four tickets to use my gift cards but I did manage to get them all used!

I love looking at "my plans" in MDE and seeing all those park reservations. I'm so happy I could cry!

@bigdisneydaddy I'm not at all surprised, I had the same number of nights booked in the same campsite type for March 2020 and my new reservation for March 2022 is about $300 higher.

Our Jan/Feb 2021 total was around $2300 for 14 nights with a deposit of $136 (average of all days). Our 2022 total for 16 days is $3400 with a deposit of $186. Unfortunately the daily price disappeared from my 2021 ressie ehen i cancelled it so a one to one comparison isnt possible. Historically this is likely the highest year to year jump. I believe this is just the start of a huge inflationary period for Disney fans.

I have a bad feeling you are right on the price jumps to come. I have a feeling this next March trip may be my last Disney trip for awhile.
