2017 WDW Dining Plan Info

I see it now... Thank you. I am in agreement that I am thinking this is a mistake.

These most likely updated by completely different departments, not unlike other businesses. Their website staff likely did not look at the PDF and simply copied and pasted from the previous year's information. That's my guess anyway.

Removing the deserts is a down grade (then again they were getting so small and awful tasting anyway).

We just booked a trip for August 2017... looking at what little information is available yet -

Tiffins is listed on the plan as 2 TS... I saw this today :)
I haven't seen formal prices for next years dining but I did find this tidbit...

"Based upon our theoretical travel 2017 travel dates, adult per night pricing for the plans is as follows: $46.34 for the Quick-Service Plan; $67.33 for the standard Disney Dining Plan; and, $103.57 for the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan. The Dining Plans have been subject to peak season surcharges for several years now, so if you’re traveling during a busier time of year, you can expect to pay more." http://www.disneytouristblog.com/2017-disney-dining-plan-prices/

I don't mind the no dessert on the QS; however the DxDP already had 2 snacks... the above article mentions the cost of that plan went down, and my bet would because of the dessert loss and no gain.

Just a guess; I've still wet behind the ears when it comes to Disney :)

I just compared the DDP to the DX plan, and the only difference I saw was that the Deluxe has 3 meals, your choice, while the Dining plan has 1 QS and 1 TS. Is there something else that I missed?

I don't believe you missed anything but the deluxe plan is a ton of food, but if you want to eat that go for it. We were plenty full with the 1 QS meal and 1 TS meal. You also get two snacks per night.

The reason I would consider it is because we might do several character meals, and need the extra Table credits. Once the cost comes out, I will check our plans with distripplanner.com.
But I'm betting that we will go in Jan 2018, so this would be moot anyway.

On the Deluxe plan, you get three courses at ala carte TS restaurants--appetizer, entree and dessert. On the regular plan, you don't get appetizers.

Most resort food courts, and Sunshine Seasons, always had fabulous dessert items, many of which you could save for snacking on later.

So I see this as a loss for the QS plan, but they already killed it as any kind of value when they took out the second snack years ago.
