2017 Fall AP Discounts

While searching this forum, I found several different threads about discounts and specific months, but I didn't see an AP one for the Fall months, so I started this thread.

We are AP holders, and currently have a Basic Package reservation for POFQ for end of October and first few days of November. If a good AP discount appears, we will gladly upgrade our reservation to one of the Deluxe resorts, so we're watching pretty closely.

Looking at the historical data at MouseSavers, I see that AP discounts for our dates didn't appear last year until June with General Public appearing in April, so we're hoping to maybe take advantage of the General one, and if the AP one is better later, seeing if we can convert....

Anyone have a better strategy?

Hope springs eternal! We're going no matter what...just not sure where we'll sleep!

Thanks for the suggestion - I've only stayed at Dolphin once (an amazing Y2K New Year's Eve vacation!) and liked it, but I don't' think they participate in the dining plans...my traveling buddy really likes the dining plan, so this time around, I won't get my TIW card, and we'll splurge instead on the dining plan. And at the end of the day, when I did the math, the DDP actually is a bit less expensive for us than getting and using the TIW card.

We are hoping for a Moderate resort (POR) AP rate for the 3rd week of October. Fingers crossed!
