2017 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend

Yay for a free car rental! Oh my gosh, could I do this for my flight? I have the Disney chase!

I'm not positive, but I think it's available to anyone with a Chase card. I haven't had much luck with cheap flights through Chase, so far, but you should definitely check it out.

I finished getting what I need for my costumes today. I'm doing Belle in her blue dress for the 5K, Rapunzel for the 10K and Snow White for the Half. Now I have to run in them a bit to make sure they are comfortable and don't fall apart. Anyone else doing costume? What are you wearing?? Getting super excited for the weekend!!

I'll say my outfits are princess "inspired"
5K: tickled pink sparkle skirt and matching cape/cloak (Belle pink dress red cloak)
10K: mermaid skirt, black tank, mermaid sweaty band and bow (Ariel)
Half: yellow sparkle skirt and blue stained glass rose tank.

I hate the normal
Buses at AK bit I've not found the expo/race buses to require much of a wait. I'm landing at 7am, meeting my cousin, dme to bay lake, breakfast at the Wave, then catching the bus. If I were you it wouldn't be a concern. Then again, the question to ask is where a cab or uber car can drop you off and if it's closer than the buses get you.

Anyone else doing costume? What are you wearing??

I think cousin and I are ordering blue and gold:yellow Sparkle Athletic skirts to go over our running tights. Maybe we'll just order one of each and swap lol. Not sure what will go on top.

Cool. DH and DS didn't want to see the medals so we just walked on by that area at the expo.

Yes. The terrible ballroom lighting can't do them justice and I really liked them! I was a doubter. Now I'm a believer.

Wishing I had signed up for 5K in addition to the GSC which I am registered for...the only way I see of getting a bib (legally) is through Charity listed on rD website. Since I am AP and live local, it doesn't make sense to go through Travel Provider. Is there any other method of signing up for 5K that I am missing? That darn Chip medal is too cute. Thanks!

There were TAs desperate to unload marathon Weekend bibs and I'm guessing the same will happen for Princess. Some of them were "working with" APs (not sure what that means) but were firm on the hotel requirement.

Other than TAs, I'm not sure. Maybe you can find someone with a RawThreads buddy pass?

5k: Tinkerbell (Rockcity skirt, Nike tank, wings and whatever you call those fluffy things on her shoes)
10K: Minnie Mouse (Rockcity skirt, Nike tank and sparkly ear headband)
Half: Cinderella (Rockcity skirt, Nike tank, black choker and sparkly blue headband)

There seems to be a common theme to my outfits, haha! I keep going back and forth on gloves for Cinderella, but I am pretty sure they wouldn't survive all 13.1 miles! Love all of your picks!
