I guess talk about the offseason is a little bit premature? I understand the Sharks have decisions/deals to make and a lot of salary cap room to sign players. Thornton is an unrestricted free agent. He doesn't necessarily have that breakneck speed expected in today's NHL and he's almost 40. I think they'll try to re-sign Evander Kane as he fit in really nicely. There's talk about who might sign John Tavares.

Maybe I’m not saying it right. They didn’t have to go out and scout players and take risks on unknowns and learn and have highs and lows. Yes, it was the Pens fault, but they ended up with a Stanley Cup winning goalie handed to them.

Anyway, it is what it is and hopefully it’s us that play them.

They definitely had to "do their homework" probably more so than a draft. they had to look at every team, who they were protecting, what each player that wasn't protected strengths/weaknesses- a lot more work than you think. the Knights also had a Top player that wasn't preforming- he got sent down (AHL) so they had no qualms about players if they didn't fit into their system

Laine is not a dirty player. I think he’s just getting tired of all the uncalled penalties against him. Let’s not forget in one of the earlier games how Subban went after Laine when he was pulled down. I don’t think there’s been a lot of dirty play (licking, hit from behind), just a clash of the titans.

I don’t see what you call mean spirited comments. It’s a hockey playoff thread..chirping is allowed and encouraged.

It’s been a great series and whoever moves on will be facing a hopefully too rested Vegas.

I want to be optimistic, I really do but I’m nervous. BUT, both teams are 1-2 at home..we know we can win in Bridgestone.

These teams are so evenly matched that it’s no wonder this series is down to game 7. I’m so glad that if extra time is needed, it won’t be decided by a shootout.

Youth hockey is definitely where it’s at.

It’s finally game day and I am so nervous. It’s going to be a heck of a game..both teams leaving it all on the ice.
