How else would have a team started there?

Maybe I’m not saying it right. They didn’t have to go out and scout players and take risks on unknowns and learn and have highs and lows. Yes, it was the Pens fault, but they ended up with a Stanley Cup winning goalie handed to them.

Anyway, it is what it is and hopefully it’s us that play them.

Finally, in a move that surprises NO ONE, despite what SUBBAN says, the Jets will move on to the WCF tomorrow night..city exhales for the first time in two weeks.

You guys, the fact that it’s May and the Jets are still going strong just makes me so deeply happy. When they left in ‘96 I was part of the marches and rallies to keep them. I was heartbroken when they left and never lost hope that someday, somehow they’d be back.

To have this happen just seems like the right place, right time, right pieces.

Now that the Sharks are out, I'm torn between wanting to see Vegas follow through on their breakout season and the Preds because I love the city of Nashville. At least I'll be able to breathe and not scream at the tv for the rest of the playoffs.

Yep, definitely not our night. We were flat the whole night.

Good news, we have won in Nashville before and we can do it again on Thursday. But, game 7 is for all the marbles. My stomach will hurt until then.

I have tried to stay out of this thread because a lot of the comments toward the Preds have seemed very mean spirited. But with these two teams it seems fitting that it goes to seven games. Two good teams, two electrified and loud fan bases. I am looking forward to Thursday with hope that we play like we did tonight.

I can’t let the accusations about dirty players go without pointing out Laine’s behavior. When Arvidsson scored, Laine shoots a puck at him then he begins a fight that the other Jets joined. RV is usually the smallest player out there so it is no surprise that other teams regularly beat on him but this is getting old. I guess Laine thinks it is against his “rules” to score an open net goal.

Laine is not a dirty player. I think he’s just getting tired of all the uncalled penalties against him. Let’s not forget in one of the earlier games how Subban went after Laine when he was pulled down. I don’t think there’s been a lot of dirty play (licking, hit from behind), just a clash of the titans.

I don’t see what you call mean spirited comments. It’s a hockey playoff thread..chirping is allowed and encouraged.

It’s been a great series and whoever moves on will be facing a hopefully too rested Vegas.
