I’m hopeful but not overconfident. Stranger things have happened and Winnipeg's used to having fate spit on us.

That being said, Winnipeg is going to be a balmy 29C on Monday and the street party will be insaaaaaaaane. If I wasn’t feeling so poorly, I’d strongly consider going downtown to party. As it is, I’m quite happy to watch in my pjs on the couch.

I have put my daughter on notice that if we make it into the Finals I will be offering her as an exchange for a ticket inside LMAO

Nashville singers all seem to suck with the anthem. Why can't they get anyone to sing the anthem properly down there?
Heck our regular singer is a junior high music teacher and they have professional musicians who can't even sing the freaking national anthem! And's it not Oh Canada they are messing up. Okay Carrie U. did it well.

It’s when they try and change the harmony and slow it down too much. Did no one learn from Fergie at the NBA all star game? Sing it like it should be done and just get on with it.

So far anthem singers are 0-2 when it comes trying to ‘get to the Winnipeg fans’.

Caps-Penguins is on NBC's broadcast channel so I'm watching it. The Caps just poured it on to take the lead from a deficit in less than 40 seconds.

I 100% agree. Pittsburgh needs to go. Get some new blood in the finals.

There’s a realistic chance that the final four teams this year will be different than the final four teams this year.

kimblebee: It was near midnight here before I got to bed. I'd been watching the Penguins play the Capitals (pre-empted last period) to the Jet and Preditors game. I'd been waiting to see the Jets so had to find the results of that game after the Jets had won their game.

I'm watching the Bruins go down again tonight against TB and, Monday will be a difficult sleep deprived day...

Monday night is forever away. There’s such a nervous energy in the city. We want to believe, but we also don’t want heartbreak. On Twitter, people are trying to get the Mayor to make Tuesday a civic holiday so we can party late into the night LOL

Well congrats to Tampa. I have no problem saying they deserved to win that series and as I said before, the B's got farther than anyone expected, so I'm happy with the overall season.
Some of my reasons it wasn't more competitive.
1. The Bruins just couldn't clear the Zone
2. Too many turnovers and Tampa got to everything first
3. Passing for the Bruins sucked. Too many passes missed or bounced off their sticks
4. Couldn't score 5 on 5

You'll note I don't include the uneven officiating which was frustrating but wasn't the defining factor.

Tampa, whoever you play, Washington or Pittsburg. CRUSH THEM!!

I’m ‘hoping’ SJ wins but think Vegas will pull it off.

Then, let’s have Crysby gone this year. I’ve been sick of him since I first heard his name.

Finally, in a move that surprises NO ONE, despite what SUBBAN says, the Jets will move on to the WCF tomorrow night..city exhales for the first time in two weeks.

You guys, the fact that it’s May and the Jets are still going strong just makes me so deeply happy. When they left in ‘96 I was part of the marches and rallies to keep them. I was heartbroken when they left and never lost hope that someday, somehow they’d be back.

To have this happen just seems like the right place, right time, right pieces.

So, if things go the way they look to be going, we’ll be facing Vegas next.

I already dislike them because they got to handpick a team, didn’t have to go out and develop anyone. Plus, as much as I like him as a person, Subbans a dirty player and his brother plays for Vegas so that’s strike two. Lastly, I loathe Crysby and M.A.F. is associated with him so that’s strike three.

A foul pitch for the fact that I don’t think Vegas would be this good if they had a sub par or average goalie.
