Things I learn from hockey....

After last night, I learned that if you get hit in the shoulder, you could possibly get a broken jaw and concussion.

I look forward to the Cup series for Fleury vs. Murray. There were a handful of haters, not many, but once a Penguin, always a Penguin and if we would get beat at the attempt for 3 in a row, then I would like to see it be Fleury with 3 in a row.

I’m not which one I disagree with more so I’ll just say a general..you spelled Hellebuyck wrong!

What a game last night. I’ll
admit, I was worried at the end of the first period but there was NO NEED TO WORRY!

What a comeback and such a statement game. Renne has looked off since Game one.

I was originally thinking Jets in 5 but now I’ll Jets in six.

Just to be clear I'm a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Since the Leafs couldn't do it I'm now championing the Jets.

I was hopeful for Patty Marleau, but I don't even know if he had a good season or not. Out of sight, out of mind. LOL

I personally was referring to them all season as M & M's Matthews, Marner and, Marleau.

That was not a hit exclusive to the shoulder and to characterize it as such is misleading. And it is not the very first point of contact that counts, it's the principal point. You don't get to follow through and whack a guy in the head just because you made contact with the shoulder first or at the same time. And though his skates were on the ice initially, he was in the process of launching up and did indeed launch up through the hit. There is no question he was trying to deliver exactly the shot he delivered. The safety department agreed. He is also a repeat offender. He got 3 games.

I enjoyed the TB vs Bruins game intensely. So... elated TB won!

It's not looking good for the Bruins. You can use a sundial to measure the time between shots. The amount of times I have screamed at the TV because the B's are making unnecessary passes or hanging on to the puck too long... And these are not just yells. These are to the volume levels akin to what you might yell when you see somebody hit your parked car and then drive off. My dog is afraid to move when I am in this mode. And now we're at where we are at. Down 2-1 going into game 4. The only good thing I could take out of this game, was that Bergy wasn't kicked off the dot every face-off.

But, there is still a lot of hockey to play. IF... The B's can take game 4, it now becomes a best of 3 series. The first team to 2 wins, goes on. Also, in this morning's skate, there was a line-up shake-up. On the third line, Backes is now centering, with Donato on his wing. Also, there is speculation that Holden may get into the line-up, in place of Grizz for Friday's game.

Let's Go Bruins!!!!

Thats where we are too. IF Nashville wins tonight, it’s a best of 3 with two of those games in Nashville. We have won there, but they’ll have won here too. This game tonight is so, so important. I don’t want to get too confidant but we are known as the toughest road arena in the league.

Even though the Pens won, I'm still not that happy with how they're playing. Just not as dominant as the last couple years. A few big players really aren't stepping up like you'd expect, and they aren't getting any secondary scoring. Rumors of Kessel being hurt must be true, he's just not doing anything. I think he and Brassard are my biggest disappointments. Brassard hasn't done a thing since coming here, and everyone said how great a playoff performer he was. They just don't look as all in as the last couple years. It's sad, because even at giving what looks like half effort they still are in the second round and tied 2-2. Just imagine if they were giving 100% all game.

Even if they don't win the cup this year, I honestly don't care that much. Don't get me wrong, I want another, but after winning two in a row, I wouldn't be as upset as if we haven't won in a while. The 16 win was great, even after winning in 09. Honestly, I REALLY want them to win so they can be the first 3 peat in 30 some years. 2 cups will make them one of the greatest of this time frame as far as team accomplishments (around the last 30 years), 3 will make them the greatest.
