2016 NFL Football Season

Isn't he their starting QB??? I thought he won the job in training camp? He's a good little QB from what I've seen!
He is now. He was 3rd string last year behind Manning and Osweiler. The Broncos took Paxton Lynch in the first round as the heir apparent and then brought in Mark Sanchez to take over until Lynch learned the system. But Siemien really shined in training camp and won the starting position even though he had never had an NFL start. He is really showing some promise. There have been comparisons to Brady (late picks, excellent skills.)

The Broncos/Pats game should be a good one.

Yeah, he was the best of the bunch. He beat out Butt Fumble and a rookie who never took a snap under center during college. Denver offense is mostly under center.

Denver defense out scored the offense...again! 2 TD's to 1.

This was against a Colts team that had - what, 5 of their secondary unit out?

Denver O needs to stop driving the ball to the red zone and then kicking FGs or nobody here in Denver will have hair and finger nails! :)

He's new, has a big learning curve, but is showing promise. And at least we have Miller and Talib (and Ray) to score for us :rotfl:

The Rams haven't scored a TD yet and the #1 still can't find the field! In the Way too Early to Know spirit, will the kid be a bust or a stud?

Since I will probably take the most abuse here, I'll just get the ball rolling.

"Hello. My name is BDL and I am a Pats fan."

So I fully expect the cheater accusations and the inflate/deflate jokes. But I also expect My Pats to win the Super Bowl this year. We have 4 weeks without Tom "GOAT" Brady, then comes the revenge tour. Hoping that Jimmy G. can at least get us 2-2. 1st hurdle, is the high energy offense and athletic defense of the AZ Cards. Not gonna lie. It will be a tough 1. Not the most confident in a week 1 win. But, "In Bill We Trust." Pats win 23-21 and will have 150+ yds on the ground.

As for tonight, Panthers win, barring an injury to Newton
Eta.. My name (I'll give u real)
Rebecca! Pats flyin Elvis tatted on my foot! Like a nike swoosh!
Brady/Belichick 2016. Sure why not?!
We should start a chapter of patriots (not so) Anonymous! Lol most of us are loud and proud

It's Rex vs. Bill pt. 1 of the 2016 season. And Rex is already doing Rex things. He sits in on the press' conference call and tries to impersonate a reporter. I can only hope that in the 1st qtr of the game, Rex throws all these wild, extravagant defenses at the Pats, and keep them in check. Only to have the Pats bust the game open and run away with the win.

As for tonight's game, the battle of the 1-2's. Fins vs. Bens. Now, it is true that the season is still young and both teams can turn their seasons around and even make the playoffs. But it still isn't enough for me to advocate for the NFL's Thursday Night Football. They should only have Thurs football on Thanksgiving.

And just like that... The perfect season is gone. It would've been a nice non-thumb/non-index/non-ring/non-pinky finger to Roger Goodell. This weekend will feature the return of Tom Brady against the Browns. In fact, it will be all Boston vs. Cleveland this week, with the Sox also going against the Indians in the ALDS. In fact, even the Bruins are playing the Columbus Blue Jackets tomorrow night in a pre-season game and open the season against them a week from tomorrow. But that's another thread for another day.

I am legit worried how rusty Tom will be. And with Dont'a Hightower & Gronk still hobbled, it could be a tough day in the Dawg Pound. I predict the final to be 34-10 Pats. Pheeeewwww... A real nail biter.

Now what(warning, may contain mature language).....

I predict Brady will be suspended for 8-games next year, Belichick and the Patriots won't be allowed to participate in the draft for the next 3-years ....well, we know where they will finish.

The playoffs are set. The 1st weekend of the playoffs do not look that strong for the AFC. You have a the Raiders who lost their MVP candidate QB at the end of the season vs. the Texans, who have a game of musical chairs with their QB's as well. Then you have the Dolphins who, even though they were resting people, took a morale crushing defeat this week, going into Pitt that rested EVERYBODY. The NFC games definitely look the the contests to watch. 2 pairs of teams, evenly matched, scrapping to face the bye teams the following week.

Raiders over Texans (thanks to a stupid play penalty late in the game)
Steelers over Miami
Lions over Seattle
Packers over Giants (I hope. Don't need another Giants/Pats Super Bowl)

That was the first NFL game I have ever been to. It was AMAZING and I am ADDICTED! I was in the nosebleeds. 5 rows from the top row on the home side 20 yard line.

Even from there I could see that the Brown player grabbed his face mask first. You should've heard the crowd when they replayed it on the jumbotron. And the one announcer said it was the other guy and Mitchell probably couldn't even see where he was grabbing.

It was the worst call of the game. And aside from the scream, Mitchell was surprisingly polite. "Goodness gracious" might have to be my new ringtone, lol.

Here is my take

Texans over Raiders
Steelers over Dolphins
Seahawks over Lions
Packers over Giants

Raiders over Texans (just because I feel so BAD for the Raiders, not that I think they can really do it, but who knows!)
Steelers over Dolphins
Lions over SeaHawks (GO LIONS!)
Packers over Giants
