Has Free dining ever came out without a few days notice from Disney? I don't remember them ever doing that and I have booked free dining 8 out of the 11 years that it has been offered.

I look at this differently. I'm booked because we are going regardless. I believe Disney will always continue some sort of a FD offer. The Magic the guest experiences with booking and having free dining is like no other. Yes, I understand it isn't for everyone and that people say your hogging the rooms already booking, but isn't that part of the process in making it magic. I'm addicted to Disney......you're all addicted to Disney. So why not dangle awesome promotions to keep us coming back. Trips are expensive and that is a deal braker for a lot of families. So if they can pull the wool over our eyes and make us think their giving us something their not going to stop. Their a business!

I'm of the same opinion. I haven't been on a vacation in 10+ years and so I'm going no matter what. If there's a FD discount, amazing. If there's a room discount, amazing. If not, I'll take a day or two off my booking and/or stay at a less expensive resort. I'm a single mom so I have to think of my budget. But it's gonna happen one way or another.

If you have the premium card yes. It's 6 mo for any package. We always just put deposit and pay right before payment is due and then you have 6 months interest free. We always wait till right before it's due so we can rack up as may points as we can

I don't have the premium card, I have the regular credit card and I also get 6 mo to pay for any package charges. :flower1:

I have been waking up for the past 5 nights checking just in case! I have massive bags under my eyes! lol
The site is doing the same for me as well, I will check and price out a vacation with availability... then go back and there is now nothing available.
It has been doing this for me last evening and all this morning! (obsessive checker! lol)
I am *hoping* this is all worth it because the glitches are for tomorrow release maybe?! :dumbo:

I haven't scrolled through everything that happened his morning, but the modify button is gone on my reservation. It was there yesterday.

Mine's still there. I checked and then when I tried to look at availability for other dates, the site crashed.

Mine's gone too. Both the "modify" and "cancel" buttons. They were both there yesterday.

I have never received notice from Disney--the only notice that I have ever had is from this site and the likes of Black, et al. :)
Right. Sorry I meant that Disney informs someone, the TAs I think, prior to the Free Dining release. I don't think that it has ever not been said what date it was going to come out. Like last year, it was everywhere on the internet on April 22nd that it was going to be released on the 27th. I don't believe that it has ever been a suprise.

And that makes total sense. What many of us think does not make sense is holding a room (or rooms) at resorts in hopes of being able to convert it to Free Dining knowing that if you can't get it that you are going to cancel. As Black alluded to in his post on page 105, booking up a resort in fear of missing out on FD can be a "self fulfilling prophecy".

I hit refresh . It's back now but when I click on it, it tells me to call to modify now. Before I could do it

Mine didn't show the cancel or modify options, i refreshed and they were back there. It's definitely very very glitchy.
