And that makes total sense. What many of us think does not make sense is holding a room (or rooms) at resorts in hopes of being able to convert it to Free Dining knowing that if you can't get it that you are going to cancel. As Black alluded to in his post on page 105, booking up a resort in fear of missing out on FD can be a "self fulfilling prophecy".

That is also true, and I'm in total agreement there. I don't want people to think others like myself are "ruining the chances" for free dining. I'm sure there's people who hold 3-4 bookings "just in case" but that must be in the extreme minority. Or at least I hope it is.

Mine didn't show the cancel or modify options, i refreshed and they were back there. It's definitely very very glitchy.

Mine's doing that right now too. I was looking to see what the price difference would be to add hoppers (in case star wars fireworks aren't scheduled every night). It wouldn't even let me try, lol.

I haven't booked yet(waiting and stalking) because I didn't want to have to call!!! Now I'm nervous the website is not going to cooperate!!! Uugg!!!:scared:

We've been to Disney over 20 times and I love the place. But I have to admit I am only going if they have FD. It seems to be the only "thrill" left for me. I have not made any hotel reservations and we are waiting until they come out with FD dates. So while I am anxious for FD to come out, if Disney does not offer it I guess we just save $2000 and use it for other vacations.

Idk. I don't think it's happening tonight. The past few years, we had much more concrete answers as to when it was being released. The website always glitches and I don't remember it being out of the ordinary in the past while waiting for FD.
My money is on it being released Monday.

With you on the FD--we have not gone without this as a family for many years. It is such a huge part for all of us . . .

Actually now when I look standard rooms at POR are available for my dates when they haven't been in weeks????

I already booked with a TA. I have a DVisa card if it's released tomorrow can my TA book it for me or change my res or is it better if I just book it on my own with DVisa and either transfer the Rez to him or just cancel with the TA after I book it.

I honestly believe that Monday will be the release date, but I will be up tonight/tomorrow morning, regardless. I haven't made a reservation yet, so I'm hoping there will be rooms available for the promotion. If not we will probably go next year instead.

Am i the only one who can totally picture a Disney CM reading this thread while eating a sandwich and laughing while they play tricks on us with the site? :D I think i need a nap.

I am right there with you! I'm sure someone is reading this thread at WDW and saying, hey let's see what happens if we take away the modify button, etc. Having bets on how long we'll notice that something is different. Oh yeah, we're onto you, Disney! We know, you know!:rolleyes1

At this point, both CBR and POR are showing rooms available for my dates. I know I need to be on point, ready and willing to make a move, as we are now a party of 5 and POR may not be included.

I agree!

Mine has always said change or cancel as well. I just looked and when I click change for every one of the categories it wants me to call. :( I really hope that changes if/when it's released. I've already warned my boss that I may be a bit frazzled tomorrow/Monday if it is and that I'd probably be on hold on my phone for awhile...

I'm definitely going but don't have a room booked.
Already have 2x non refundable ressies (DVC rental and Sapphire Falls) for remainder of vacation.
Just waiting to book first few nights - dependant on fall offers.
FD is not a deal breaker but this thread is keeping me entertained
