best of luck to you all. We expected not to use our BB this year because of the CDN$ but it has come back enough to save us $2500 from its worst point and are at the maximum budget. Southwest had a sale on last night, so I booked the flights, and moved the dates for our two rooms today, PC for 10 nights Aug/Sept. Very thankful and even more excited to have it settled before the FD madness starts shortly.

If you have the premium card yes. It's 6 mo for any package. We always just put deposit and pay right before payment is due and then you have 6 months interest free. We always wait till right before it's due so we can rack up as may points as we can

I'm new to using the Disney Visa. I have the regular card and get 6 months interest free as well. Can you explain why you wait until right before it's due to get as many points as you can? Wouldn't it be the same if you paid it when you book it?

We try to maximize our points. We do all our bills each month on the visa and then pay it off so we get as many points as we can. That way we pay right before the due date and transfer the points to a payment. Just how we do it. Works for us. We have the premium bc of the double points at grocery stores etc.. For us , that's were lost of our money is spent. Groceries. Target. Walmart. All those places get double points

Oh ok, I see now! :)

This is the first time I've ever posted here, though I've been reading for about 100 pages now...I currently have a reservation for 2 rooms at the Comtemporary from 9/1-9/6/16, and hoping to get FD applied when it finally gets released. I see so much talk about going from Value to Moderate and back depending on the dates and availability, but what does anyone think about whether I'll have difficulty or not getting the FD applied to my deluxe ressie? And what kind of room category is usually included, because maybe I'll have to change that? Right now we're in Garden Wing-Garden view.

Would a room discount benefit me more than free dining? We're a party of 4, 2 in each room (2 adults and two kids, 14 & 15...so I guess technically adult).

BTW, we're also booked through a TA.

Idk. I don't think it's happening tonight. The past few years, we had much more concrete answers as to when it was being released. The website always glitches and I don't remember it being out of the ordinary in the past while waiting for FD.
My money is on it being released Monday.
I just put in for a vacation day on Monday. I figure I will pull an all nighter.:dance3:

With 4 "adults" in your room, FD would probably be a better discount than RO. But you would have to do the math. You can always add FD then switch to the room discount later if it turns out to be more.

My Change Reservations was gone - then I logged out and logged back in and it was there - but it changed again. So it is VERY glitchy.

Been lurking around this thread. So nerve-wracking! We're hoping the unavailability of the values (we can't afford anything more) is just a prep glitch for the special offer. Like a few others along for this FD ride, without FD and Value resort availability, we can't vacation at WDW this year. We are/were also planning a small family reunion for 2018 but at the pace of price increases, even that is sketchy as it's priced out a lot of family. This fall might be us hitting our "wall".

I personally think a RO discount would be better for you since you have 2 rooms at a Deluxe, rather than 4 adults in 1 room. I have recently calculated a stay at the GF and a RO discount would be significantly better than free dining.

I will run some numbers when I return from lunch and see if I can get a better idea for you. I love pricing Disney vacays.

I think I saw it mentioned somewhere that you can tell when the MVMCP is by the closing times of the park. Can anyone point me in the direction of finding that information? :coffee:

That would be amazing!! Thank you so much! I kind of love it too...all the different scenarios and such, but I have to admit that I'm getting a bit burned out on all of it. Just want to pick something already and stick with it. Then, of course, I get to play the game with booking flights...which is also on hold until my dates are 100% set, since I guess that could still change (though I'm pretty confident we'll fall into the mix). We are flexible in order to get one discount or another.

I have been reading through the posts here and looks like CBR rarely has or highly limited standard rooms available for FD..so our next option is CSR...do they have a "decent" amount of standard rooms available for FD (from past experiences). I really want to stay standard at a moderate instead of doing preferred at value and upgrading the dining plan....

2 years ago we booked a standard with FD at CBR no problem. We didn't get to WDW last year, so I can't comment on last year though sorry.

South Americans are starting to chatter. August 14-22 is said to be South American agency dates, while remaining dates are still as rumored.

To quote a bit of broken english:
"Free meals: Travel agencies will have additional period from 14/8 to 22/8. Remaining dates coincide with rumor posted days ago."
Any word on ticket add ons?
