I so easily could have jumped to the last page but had so much fun scrolling through the 'Midnight chatter' . So much fun! (Yeah, I have no life-LOL!) Currently booked @ AsSports-adjoining rooms but hoping that the FD is offered at POR.

It was great! Until I lost the internet again. Luckily it was after 4:30 my time, which was 5:30 Disney time, lol. I'll meet you Wednesday night or Thursday morning!!

I'm up because hubby had to go to work. I'm bummed it didn't release tonight. Oh well now if I could just go back to sleep!!!

Organizational leadership. Don't ask me what I am going to do with it because I have no idea. I have 15 credits left then on to marriage and family therapy masters program. I have left algebra until the end because I HATE IT! I do a question or two then I Disney for awhile. It's my reward system lol.

Sounds great! I understand leaving math until the end!! I'm not sure how I got through the math and science for nursing. I was quite amazed with myself as I hate both lol.

I had a dream that I got on the bus at Coronado Springs and the bus just kept circling the resort picking one or two people at each stop......over and over again. The bus never went to the parks.

That one doesn't sound fun at all!! When I finally fell asleep we were eating lunch at Be Our Guest. Great meal, but we couldn't get out of the castle and into the park lol.

I didn't think it was going to be this morning, but I still woke up at 4:30 and 7:00 to check anyway. Thankfully I don't have work today, so I was able to fall back asleep until now, but I don't know what I'm going to do for sleep next Monday if free dining is released!

So, what is a normal room only discount around this time (Late November, Early January)? My parents are Florida Residents, so I just want to see if free dining would even be worth it, but not sure what to compare it to. WE are planning Wilderness Lodge Cabins.

My friend that is a FL that I travel with is a FL resident, but FD always works out to be a better deal for us. Granted we also always stay at a value resort and have more than two adults in the room.

1. You would be checking the Walt Disney World site, their Special Offers webpage on there. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/

2. You can login and book through the WDW site. It's not really through MDE, but of course you are logged in to the whole site, so kind-of Go play on the WDW site, login and play around and price out vacations using one of the special offers on the Special Offers page and you'll see how you do it. Just remove/delete it from your cart when you're done playing. If you are already booked, you can try and modify your current reservation in MDE. If that does not work, you'd have to wait and call in. Or book a new one with FD online, and cancel the other one.

3. Check all night means people keep refreshing the WDW Special offers page. You will see it there probably before you can call in. Phone lines don't open until 7am EST. FD typically goes live online before that. Last year it was earlier than usual. Some are checking at midnight hoping it would be that soon. It could, but based on history it's likely to be between 4am-6am. But if I was checking I'd be looking at midnight on to 7am. Then if it wasn't up then, I'd call in.

We will see a good rumor probably the day before that it is going live the next morning, but checking is smart just in case. Hope this helps you!

Thank you for ALL the details!!! I'll add a shortcut to the promo page and happily hit refresh now I'm fine w/ booking another package - my only thing is I included airfare w/ my first MDE package. If I rebook a new pkg I'm thinking I would book it without the airfare, then cancel the original MDE package but since you can't cancel airfare that should still stay on the original package? The airfare is sketchy to me in my brain.

I think I'm best off calling first thing and adding it that way, OR adding the promo via the MDE site. I don't currently have the DP anyway, so if the promo pops up hopefully I could just revised / modify my current MDE pkg and add it.

WWYD? I haven't booked anything yet but I was hoping to book CBR 8/27-9/1. We stayed here last year with FD and it was great! I had initially had to book a waterview room but after the craziness died down I was able to get a standard. My goal is to get a standard room again this year but if it's not available I'm thinking the only other option there is preferred or pirate (waterview is currently unavailable those dates). Here's the kicker those rooms add $300 to my reservation. Im not the kind of person who cares what my room looks like at Disney so I feel like that's a waste of $$. However, for an extra $250 on top of the $300 ($550 total) we could stay at WL in a standard (if available). I don't feel like I would mind spending the extra $$ to stay at a deluxe hotel though. That all being said WL is under construction! Ugh I just don't know what to do as a back up plan. Is it worth getting the preferred at CBR or upgrading to WL? I should also add that I'm traveling with a 3 & 4 yo which is why I like the CBR and WL. The kiddie splash pools are perfect for them!

I didn't see a thought on this yet...if you can afford it I would do WL. We did a deluxe our first year then last year moderate. I definitely noticed a difference in the level of service. Don't get me wrong, they were both great, but the CMs at the deluxes just seem to have a way to make things a bit more magical. Our last day we had breakfast at WL and the CMs were just so friendly I told my husband, now that is the friendliness we got used to last year. And the 3 and 4yo will love the WL theming! I believe the pool is open still.

I've heard people say they book their trip on MDE. But I called and was told that's only for fast pass and dining reservations. True?

MDE is technically the personalized app portion of the website. The CM was right in that you use it for dining and fp+. But you can book a trip online thru the disney website...it may not technically be part of the MDE section. Once your trip is booked you can login to your MDE account and see the ressie details. The CM should have explained it better. Never trust them!

So just had a minor freak out. Got a fraud alert on my phone from Chase disney visa. They stopped the transaction and froze my account. They lady said so is it okay if you get your card in 5-7 days of do you need it earlier? I said well I might be booking a disney vacation soon if they do the free dining promotion. She said she'll send it express and it will be here tomorrow! So as long as free dining doesn't drop tomorrow morning, I'm good!

Oh wow, yeah the airfare being with the package could make a big difference. You will probably need to either modify your current reservation online to add the FD discount, or if that does not work, call in at 7am EST and have them change your reservation. I don't think you should try to book a new reservation online because of the airfare being attached to the old.

Thanks for the support - I agree, the airfare does make things sketchy to me. I'll either modify and try and add plan or call first thing at 7 am - THANK YOU! I feel I have this organized in my brain now

Things are getting so exciting! I'm hoping to book Free Dining for December. Pop is our first choice, but we would be happy with any value or even a standard room in a moderate! We wouldn't be checking in until late in the dates for December, so hopefully they keep the rule that as long as you check in during the offer that you can keep it for your whole trip.

This is sad---my dates are not even rumored to be included---they are set in stone so I can't change them. They have never been included in free dining and yet---here I am waiting for the free dining promo to drop. I think I am one sick Disney puppy. I think I need to start a 12 step program to help deal with this free dining addiction I have!!!!

This! My dates are also not included in the rumored dates, but I'm still glued to this thread and hoping that more dates miraculously get added. But either way, it's just fun to be experiencing this as it unfolds along with my fellow Disney lovers

Just decided if I get FD for my dates (11/27-12-2), I'm going to add a day on the end and go to Universal that day. The cost I have set aside for food is close to the cost of Universal for a day, so I could just switch that over and enjoy a trip to a park I haven't been to in 5-6 years and my mother hasn't been to in 11 years. Now just to keep hoping they announce next Monday, since I'll have that off to spend the day adding on!

Now I just have to figure out if it's worth it with us not being able to do 3D and them having so many 3D rides at Universal...

Actually, the rumors have always addressed GP days. That being the case, and all else is equal, 4/25 would be public and 4/21 would be Visa (if offered at all).

Remember there are media days with lots of agents at WDW today thru Wed.

Question to clarify the (if offered at all) part.

Do you mean "if FD is offered at all" as in - it will go live on 4/25 (if offered at all); or does that statement only apply to the latter part of the sentence regarding DV release of 4/21 part?
