As long as you aren't counting on FD you do not have to be flexible, that is. If you are, you could be SOL.

New question so if I reserve a room with 4 people and need to change it to 2 later after booking will I loose free dining if all other things stay the same except for people on the reservation?

Book for four because of room layout. You can drop additional guests up to 30 days before arrival.

At this point, there hasn't been any differentiation. Just a speculated start date.

What part of oct were you there? We are going the first week in October for the first time and I am wondering what to expect

We were there Oct 1-8. I feel we planned well and didn't feel it too much with FP and wait times, but felt it during parades and nighttime shows, especially at MK.
