As long as you aren't counting on FD you do not have to be flexible, that is. If you are, you could be SOL.

Nah. If it's not my week. I can always change. I can be flexible. But don't want to. Like I said. If I have to change I'm in no different spot then anyone else. I like my chances better that I booked first

Ok I'm going to totally start a rumor and say it's going to be Monday the 18th! All this #soon stuff and the weird cache for free dining that was dated 4/8/16....I feel like who ever was working in the IT department accidently left out the 1 in 18 which is why the one random link went out on the 8th!! Ahhhh I'm getting so excited! Every yeAr I do this to myself! I should have done the BB!

My heart is breaking if the rumored dates hold true. We are heading to WDW 10/28-11/3 for my mom's 60th birthday. We were planning to take full advantage of the FD to be able to enjoy some great restaurants and booked at the Poly so that the older members of our group would have an easier time getting around. There is only one word to describe the current rumored dates, PUCHI!

I have been stalking this thread but not jumping in because the resort we want was not included in November last year (POR) but this is just getting too exciting! We booked our November stay at POR for NOV.14-21 last year before ticket prices increased because the kids really want POR. If by some lucky chance POR is included for November and I try to modify my dates online will I have to cancel my current reservation to do this? I don't want to lose my reservation if I can't get free dining. Is it possible to book a new reservation for the same time frame and then cancel the old one? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to be prepared in case POR is included!

You can make a new reservation or modify the current one. Keep in mind, you will pay the increased price of the package due to adding the Free Dining promotion.

Thank-you so much for the reply! So I could make a new reservation for the same time frame and then cancel the old one? Something about that modify button makes me nervous! Our dates are flexible because we are driving from Canada with our 3 little ones. (I hope it's not a Griswold trip)

That's a good rumor to start because that makes sense and it would be a week sooner than last year like summer deals were released a week earlier I hope it's right too because the suspense is killing me! Also should I let my TA handle this for me or should I try myself to book as well and then just link it to her if I get it before she does?

Last year there were extra fd dates for Canadians. We were there the 15-25 of August with free dining at POR

Also should I let my TA handle this for me or should I try myself to book as well and then just link it to her if I get it before she does?

I hear ya! That's why we didn't do the bb last year because DS starts kindergarten this year and I can't have him miss orientation and the first week. Really hoping we can squeeze in FD for the week before Labor Day first day of school!

I know we're watching closely. We had free dining in 2014 and if worked well for us. In 2015 we did a last minute trip to see Osborne over dw's birthday. We are hoping the dates in Pete's post are a little off because we were thinking the November 12 or 13 to start. We haven't booked anything yet at WDW while we wait and see. We do have a deposit on a cruise as a back up in dw wants to do something grand for her 40th.
